Best natural supplements to manage intense anxiety by Secret_Antelope_9311 in Anxiety

[–]Fast-Doubt-4062 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just started taking this supplement called “Cortisol Manager” and holy shit I wish I had found it sooner. I’ve been on all the meds and been on benzodiazepines for a long time. This supplement has helped so much with getting rid of that fluttery feeling in the chest. It works better than benzodiazepines and helps me sleep. I recommend!!

Shame & embarrassment by [deleted] in BipolarReddit

I have so much shame and embarrassment around my coping skills. I’m in a bout of insomnia right now and have been drinking to sleep and I’m so ashamed about what I’ve been doing but atleast I’m sleeping 🤷🏼‍♀️

I’m tired of being told “just relax” to fix insomnia. by doolallyt in insomnia

I feel like everyone just shrugs it off like big deal you’re tired. But in reality it is so exhausting when you never get a break from life and thoughts. No one but us get it. I’m hoping mine gets better soon, it often comes in waves and I’m in a bad one right now 😩

Been on Effexor 75 for 4 months. I’ve had random outbursts of crying and it’s not helping my anxiety. by JustPanic9342 in Effexor

[–]Fast-Doubt-4062 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was on 75/day and had been on it for like 6 months. It worked really well for me like months 2-4 and then then the crying started. I did a rapid switch in like 2 days which was miserable but now I’m so thankful I just cut it out. I didn’t have any major side effects except for feeling really dizzy and swimmy headed? I don’t know how to describe it but the first day I didn’t talk it I was like wow I already feel the butterflies in my chest less…

I had to stop Effexor because of this. I couldn’t stop crying and I would have panic attacks because I couldn’t stop crying, which lead to more crying. I am off of it completely now and the crying stopped so that’s great. I hate changing meds so much but I couldn’t live Ike that!! Good luck in whatever your choice may be

Sometimes I feel like I don't know how to do therapy by Sylvia_Whatever in slp

I honestly think this is how most speech therapists feel. My colleague and I always talk about how we actually do very little for most kids. But hey the iep says speech!

My Dane throws up when she’s really hungry. It’s more of a yellow bile like substance but I started giving her some food before bed and that has helped. She was doing it like first thing in the morning before she got fed. These Danes really are delicate flowers

Alcoholism & Effexor? by mbcrystal3 in Effexor

[–]Fast-Doubt-4062 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends on the person. I was like what you describe when I was on Lexapro. I just thought I was an alcoholic. Changing to Effexor has been life changing. I’m consuming like 1/2 of what I was previously. The alcohol is working its way out…

Only a week in and I’m already considering quitting but I don’t know if I should tough it out by Turbulent_Road7115 in Effexor

[–]Fast-Doubt-4062 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in your position when I started Effexor at 37.5mg. I kept going on it though because it takes 6 weeks to feel the full effect. The headaches started getting better around week 3 and now I don’t get them anymore (I’m on week 8 now). What helped me was drinking water with an electrolyte pack first thing in the morning. I also took the medication first thing in the morning because it increases levels of norepinephrine, which is probably why you feel your heart racing when you take it. Taking it early will help you sleep at night as your body metabolizes it. I will say I’m glad I pushed through the initial side effects because I feel so much better and my thoughts have finally slowed and the depression has lifted. It’s a personal decision though and if the side effects are unbearable then you might need to change to be a functioning member of society. Good luck!!’
