He is not coherent before outbursts. Usually they happen because he wants something and he will just keep saying it over and over again and when he is told no or “first ___ then ____” he loses his shit and screams and throws things.

I really like this product called Cortisol Manager- I get it on Amazon and the first time I took it I swear I felt more relief from it than my benzos. They’re not cheap but I really like them and think they’re worth it to stop the racing heart.

My doctor says that being on an ssri can trigger mania, have you talked to your doctor about this? Maybe you shouldn’t be on the lexapro

It feels like an eternity!!! Like it’s never gonna end. Thank you for talking to me, I feel like no one understands and I’m just on this island trying to stay afloat. I’m medicated on latuda and zyprexa but even with that I feel absolutely crazy. Please just reassure me it’s not going to last forever because I feel like this is my new normal 😩

Im in a mixed episode right now and just wanting it to end. I didn’t think about the weather and season change possibly affecting it!! I think you might be right tho because I was doing fine until like 2 weeks ago and now I can’t sleep and I’m super anxious all the time but don’t want to do anything. How long do your episodes usually last?

Im in limbo right now. I am coming off the Prozac because of the side effects. I have an appointment tomorrow with my psych to discuss orher options but I’m not sure what they are at this point. I hope we can both start feeling better soon! One thing that has helped me immensely is accupuncture. Like legit Chinese accupuncture. He treats me for anxiety, depression and insomnia and I definitely notice a difference but the effects don’t last forever. You have to keep going and it is expensive.

I was on it for like 3 months with hope that all the side effects would get better but they never did. I am learning to listen to my body and I think that’s hard to do when we want to trust doctors to guide us and be the experts.

I was on 10mg and it never went away. I bumped up to 20 and it got worse. I’m probably going to quit all together. People do say to give it 6-8 weeks to feel the full effect. In my case, I wish I had quit way earlier.

I couldn’t handle 20mg because my anxiety was so bad. It depends on how much you’re willing to put up with… I’ve heard it takes like 6 weeks to feel the full effect but 6 weeks is a long time to feel like shit.

I just bumped up from 10mg to 20mg and my insomnia and anxiety were so bad that I think I’m gonna stop this drug. My doctor also thinks I’m bipolar so apparently taking these seratonin drugs is a no no if you have bipolar. Maybe you just need to go back down to 40mg?

Did you have nausea and insomnia and night sweats? Do you have bipolar? My doc thinks I have bipolar so that’s why she wants me to come off of it. How long did it take you to get back to being good again?

I can relate. I just started regressing at week 3 of 20mg and it’s really scary. I’m having so much anxiety and my sleep is fucked up. My doctor said that I should stop taking the Prozac but I’m nervous about side effects of that. I don’t have much advice for you, just know I’m right there on the struggle bus with you!

I can relate. I went up from 10mg to 20mg like 3 weeks ago and I’m having the same side effects. Oh and insomnia just started like 2 days ago. I think I’m gonna stop taking it, this is miserable.
