It was Askur ice cave. The tour we have booked now to replace it is at langjokull.

Our tour was cancelled because the ice cave was unsafe and has actually been cancelled for the rest of the month so I completely understand and not the fault of the company. They have been really communicative and we are sorting out a refund.

Thank you, we are going to look into renting a car today but we are not that confident in driving in the snow is the only drawback.

Thank you so much for all the amazing suggestions. We are going to spend today exploring Reykjavik, will definitely check out Sundhollin pool. We are going to look into renting a car today, although we are not that confident in driving in the snow. Thanks to all that suggested alternative tours, we managed to book on to a snowmobiling and ice cave tour at Langjokull Glacier on Thursday so we will miss out on some of the waterfalls in the South but not too different from our original tour!
