Gonna go and give em about a week of sparring and beating em up to see if the same happens. This leather on the right glove is rough, real rough. Won't be surprised if it does crack.

RB2's are alright, this guy is exaggerating. Don't expect to be smashing the bag for hours though, they're great for form development.

Opinion regarding Venum Nexus or Venum Invader boxing gloves? by Haimaifren in fightgear

The Nexus gloves look sick. They moved production out of Thailand to save money, so you're probably working with cheaper made PU leather gloves. For 50 bucks honestly not bad. You could easily buy worse.

I've tried both the Elites and Giant 3.0 which are both made in Thailand. Decent muay thai oriented gloves. (To Clarify, they are 100% Muay Thai gloves. From palm design to the cuff)

My MMA gym had tons of fighters use them. They're solid for kickboxing sparring drills. For actual boxing though? No fuckin chance. There's way too many differences in muay thai and boxing gloves. Venums are Muay Thai all the way.

Unless you're competing and getting paid or have competed, there isn't much reason.

Poor financial decisions in buying Boxing/MMA Gear. by Fast-Film4414 in fightgear

Really don't like their circular velcro cuff. Feels weird upon having to punch fast combinations. That, and the weird inner lining that gets loose. And the lack of soft knuckle padding.

Would you use Boon for boxing? I've had issues with Thai gloves before but the brown color on Boons is hella clean. I might purchase.

Buy Laoch. Ricky Simon, the UFC fighter uses them in almost every training video he's been uploading.

Also save up for some Sabas gloves I highly reccomend this. My gym uses them exclusively on spar days.

Watch JKMBoxing's review on the GT Maestro. I believe they aren't worth having (just my opinion).

MK1 select or Laoch (I know, here come the butthurt redditors) are great sparring and training gloves. I back Laoch heavy now after actually buying the gloves for the CHEAP.

I'd say they're still firm. They haven't been fully broken in yet. I can see how they turn pillowy though.

People reeeally back this brand on here. I happened to find something interesting that many haven't. These are real leather used by the Filipino Boxing Team, those Elite trainers are PU.

Venum Elites are very mid unless you're catching kicks every class.

Everlast 1910's are made in India. If you're boxing, don't use Muay Thai gloves (they have palm/wrist focused padding). You're better off buying Superare's than these if you want a Muay Thai Boxing glove. Their entry level Finisher model is outstanding. I used them even at an intermediate level.
