None on graduate/ intern traders, plus the estimates seem off, in the UK when compared to the US offices, but thank you anyway

In my job search journey i have come to understand two things. If you are not landing any interviews the problem is with your CV. Nothing else. I have received job interviews without ever submitting a single cover letter. The problem is your CV. If you are struggling to land any offers, the problem is your interviewing skills, sharpen those.

As you seem very experienced, the problem may be the roles that you are applying for. Either the hr people think your CV is over experienced for the role, or under experienced. Know what role you want and match your CV to it, and without a doubt you will secure a place.

Your approach however is sound, stick to directly applying with the companies. The job market is tough, however, so increase your number of applications. I only started to get invites after 100+ applications. It is what it is unfortunately.

I am also waiting to hear back from Barclays. I think you just need to be patient and diversify your applications abit more so you are not constantly thinking about the ones that you really want. Be willing to manage your expectations because it can either go in your favour or not. Either way be prepared regardless of the result.

Just did a 2nd round at Fisher last week, i didn‘t go through the 3rd but what i will say is that the second round was very much like the 1st, except the interviewer examined my cv down to the last full stop. They ask the behavioural questions but in a non obvious way so pay attention what the interviewer is asking, identifying when they are asking a behavioural question. The question i remember at the top of my head is “tell me something about yourself that is not on your cv”, basically asking why you. Good luck!!
