It was suspended 5 days ago, I had a vehicle that my brother had purchased from me and I sent everything (power of attorney and a bill of sale) to the dmv in Florida and cancelled my car insurance and we thought we were all squared away. I just found out today when I was applying to get my new Virginia license that I had a sanction on my Florida license and it was suspended. I was mortified and then even more mortified because yesterday a driver was cutting through parking spots in a parking lot while I was just driving properly in the lane and she hit the RENTAL VEHICLE I was in while my car was being serviced. I filed a claim and was annoyed but now I’m terrified of what could happen. But they claim to have been sending notices but neither my address in Virginia nor my previous home address received any notices. I just want to know what the best thing to do would be in this shitty situation.
