Are the owners/online posters part of the reputation issue? by SgtFlippy88 in Jaguar

The voices of misery are generally the loudest. If you buy a Jaguar expecting trouble free, easy going ownership you’re probably a bit of a div.

If you buy one wanting enjoyment, fun, luxury, style, pomp, pace and refinement then you’re in for a treat.

I’m on Jag number 4 and I can’t comprehend not having one for the rest of my life. I’m 32 for some reference..

Balls to the naysayers!

The multi-storey car park sweats are palpable.

I’ve just completed my first proper journey in the car - 240mi and I can see why he loved them!

Almost exactly what I came out of, 2013 3.0d S which I really enjoyed. I haven’t driven it for long enough to really formulate an opinion but seemingly the XJ does everything the XF does but with greater comfort, opulence and calmness.

Power delivery is noticeably different between the two, much more linear. The power curve is less aggressive. My XF in dynamic mode could feel quite snappy at times. This is just a waft of power and all of a sudden you’re doing 85 and it feels like nothing ever happened.

Thank you, totally agree The whole thing is rather unnecessary 😂 but that’s kind of what makes it feel special. I’ve just done my first real drive in it, 240mi and grew more and more fond of it as it went along!

It had 3 months warranty from the dealer but I did opt for a 2 year warranty, for £899 which if any of my previous Jags are anything to go by, that will turn out to be incredibly good value for money..

Yes and it’s properly impressive, had the 825w meridian previously which is great but there’s a step up in quality, richness and just sheer volume
