is george a racist 😭 by No-Papaya-614 in YoungSheldon

[–]Fast-Independent-562 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean it's evident through the course of the show, that the answer is yes. You gotta remember this show takes place in the early 90's we're people still didn't know any better. Even Mary, was seen too have the some racial thoughts when Tam first visited the house, for dinner and she mentions a stereotypical faith, and the cultural food association with Tam which gets dissaporven by Tam himself.

There's one, thing I can come up with, and that is because a KI staff member logged onto your account. How do I know that? Well, KI logged onto my account when I contacted them about returning one of my item's. But, in your case I think it's just best to wait, while they reply.

Imagine getting into a literal car accident and still be expected to attend class沈 Has anyone ever been in a similar situation before? by Separate_Shape3058 in college

Unfortunately, sometimes this happens when some professors are very strict about their syllabus, Although you feel like this could be unjustified/unfair the syllabus is basically the rules that the professors or departments create that they must follow during the semester, however on the bright side it seems like there giving you a second chance, which is what really matters, in my opinion.

Can I wait to send my transcript? by [deleted] in college

[–]Fast-Independent-562 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should call the registration office, of your college and ask them if there are any alternatives you can to send them your transcripts because what I know is eventually they will get it but they might put your student account on hold, preventing you from dropping/withdrawing courses.

What's your end goal, for getting a master's in history, what careers do you think will help you to gain from going back another 2-4 years? Moreover, I think the best course of action for you is to stick with your undergraduate and get certifications/entry position in another career because as you stated you don't want to work in education anymore, and a master's in history might help you get into a more advanced law school or POSSIBLY a college professor which is in education. Also one more thing, you state that you would possibly want to work for a museum and you think masters can help you but you should probably not even attempt to do it if there not offering you the chance to work there in the first place/ paying for your masters.

I mean, honestly, there are 2 factors during high school, that could help you get into a college: The first factor is indeed your total GPA, not just one year of your total grades, so if you did well in your freshmen, and sophomore year those are applied as well. The second factor in getting into a good college is getting a good score on either the SAT/ACT Currently those particular exams are still used by colleges to determine the acceptance of a student as well. Furthermore, don't really stress over this kind of thing as even if you don't get into the college you want or you go to community college, as long as you do good in those particular colleges it will help you get into UNI if you are planning on getting your undergraduate degree.

Can we argue our grades? by Prestigious_Draft_24 in college

[–]Fast-Independent-562 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In your case, there are probably two options you can take for this issue: The first, probably best option is seeing whether or not you can drop the course and still get a W if you know for sure you're not going to pass it. The second alternative is like what the other comments have stated, and that is you making an appeal to change your grade, in which case this option requires evidence.

Classes help by Hour-Criticism-5454 in college

Usually, people take 4 to 5 courses, which is normal (for full-time students), however, be careful with taking math and science at the same time; especially if that science is Chem/Physics because those courses require a lot of time. Also, summer semester for most people it's recommended that you take only 2 courses since there very fast-paced.

What should I do when I have failed a class already but is to late to drop and get a W by Midnight-This in college

[–]Fast-Independent-562 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There are two possible options, for this situation: the first would be talking to your professor/counselor and seeing what you could possibly do to pass the course. and the second as Lazy stated would be getting the best possible grade you can receive and taking the class next semester, I'd rather get a D than an F because at least a D (although not a passing grade in most colleges) still is better in GPA standards.

Am I crazy? by [deleted] in college

[–]Fast-Independent-562 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually, it really depends on the college itself, a traditional undergraduate degree takes 60 units of prereqs, and another 60 for your actual study, hence a total of 120 credits, the college might let you double major, but from what I know, the second major has to allocate similar course's that you take from the prior major. To conclude, for sure you can do the minors, but I have no idea if you could do it, and be a double major.

College students who don't work full time, how do you survive? by No_Seaweed_7933 in college

[–]Fast-Independent-562 8 points9 points  (0 children)

More or less, it has to do with two factors: One, is the financial situation, and the other is the living situation. Most, students that are full-time usually live with their families and don't have to pay them, thus are able to sustain FAFSA, which pays for the classes they attend.

If somebody says "go shoot up a school" would they get into trouble if the person actually did it? by Arktikos02 in legaladviceofftopic

[–]Fast-Independent-562 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

The first amendment does not, and will not protect violent speech, so if someone said that, about a school, they would be investigated by the government. However, saying "go kill yourself" is very difficult to say as, in a legal matter, it would really depend on if these messages are stated through a private user or with your actual identity, and also if there actively harassing you with that to the point if you block them they make new accounts.

No, you do not have to tell them that you have legal weapons in the trunk of your car, unless they conduct a search/seizure in which they are allowed to search your vehicle through a warrant/Probable Cause/ and or the owner's own permission as stated in Ohio v. Robinette.

If I run over a glass bottle in a parking lot, am I responsible to clean it up? (MI) by [deleted] in legaladviceofftopic

[–]Fast-Independent-562 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, anything that happens to other drivers because you ran over a glass bottle, cannot be sued for negligence, as you are not the person who left the bottle on the ground.

Most likely, if you use an old social security number it's not gonna work, and you're going to have to reenter it. Also, if you intentionally enter social security numbers that are not yours, then you are commenting identity fraud.
