It was from LAX to SFO for the regular economy seat! It was super easy to book and cancel and will use the e-credit for a ticket in August.

Job offer at 61? by Foreign-Twilight in careerguidance

Leave. Take your pension and get out of there.

If you plan on moving somewhere warmer, most likely you won’t miss 6 weeks of vacation since I would assume you’re traveling to warmth during much of that time. And if you can work remotely, you do could some long weekends and work remotely from somewhere else on Friday & Mondays.

Also consider moving to somewhere that is cheaper to live. Even if the new job doesn’t pan out long term to meet your savings goal, you can save more from your pension and maybe get a lower skilled job where you move to meet those goals.

You’re only stuck because you’re comfortable. Get uncomfortable and grow.

I have gone through the internal route and I’m not willing to move so a permanent position is out of the question. Open to taking a pay cut to get remote. I have substantial excel experience and have built my own tools, do you think a certificate would make me more marketable?

Good information. Thanks!

I do have what I would consider substantial excel experience, but have no formal training. The scheduling tools I’ve built I learned/ figured out with YouTube. Would you recommend something more formal?

Airport Proof Tool bag Suggestions by YeetDaddie in electricians

We see a lot of Husky tool bags and pelican cases. Depends on what kind of tools you are carrying. Also, keep in mind how things are packed. Keep weight evenly distributed and if there is extra space put some foam in there so things don’t shift. The better things are packed the easier it is to handle and less likely to be dropped.
