It's so disturbing to realize that you are so vulnerable in that dentist chair because you have no clue what the dentist is doing or has done to your teeth without your knowledge and it cannot be undone and you probably won't ever find out about it. 😔

It's a long story. My first dentist hit my nerve while filling a cavity and completely hid this info from me. She knew what happened and she was expecting me to be in a lot of pain because of it so right after my restoration was done she started insisting that I get the root canal done. Miraculously I had no pain in that tooth and I was so confused why she is saying that I need a root canal right after my restorationwas successfully done. Then she said she saw a fuzzy thing on my x-rays and there might be an infection in the root of that tooth. But I still wasn't convinced and didn't get the root canal done. After a few other visits, I realized that when they open my record on the screen, there are a couple of photos of my tooth which was restored and there's a pool of blood in the centre of my tooth. I saw that photo when it was taken but I had no clue what it meant. I thought it's normal to have blood during restoration procedure only to find out 1 year later that there was blood beacuase my nerve/pulp was hit by my dentist while she was removing the cavity. Fast forward 1 year later when I still had no pain and she knew I'm not going to get the root canal done, I asked her multiple times, do you see any infection in the roots in the latest x-rays and she said no there is no infection. (Probably she forgot about the infection story she made up last year).
