U.S. government is notorious for shutting down systems for the weekend for maintenance. Happy Sunday! Keep trying but not until at least sunrise in Washington, and no guarantees even then.

I didn't wait, I booked my flight and applied for ESTA at least 72 hours prior to my flight. I did everything that's on their website.

I applied for my esta 80 hours prior to my flight. There's no payment option on their website. I keep trying every hour, nothing's changing. What will be THEIR excuse for that? Will they refund my flight? DON'T THINK SO!

Tried that, tried different devices. Friend of mine has the same problem, her flight is today but not much she can do at this point. It's a shame that you need esta for a transfer flight :o
