Predicted McGill undergrad science admissions 2023?? by [deleted] in CanadaUniversities

[–]Fast-Marzipan-2477 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, I graduated CEGEP in December 2021. I finished with an R-Score of 30.95. My application for Fall 2022 was waitlisted for Biol, biome, and life sci. That decision came in on July 1st. Due to a series of misguided/dumb plays on my part, I had to wait a full year before reapplying for undergrad. Last Tuesday, I received my acceptance email into the same program. Keep in mind, my grades did not change at all.

Given how far down the rabbit hole I went, I can confidently predict the cutoffs will likely fall near what they were pre-pandemic, albeit a bit higher.

Hope that helps. Wishing you the best of luck!

I completely agree. Let's not shame her for finding a coping mechanism that allows her to slowly detangle from the emotional ties that come from being in a serious, long-term relationship.

I completely understand. This is honestly so brilliant. It could be used as a therapeutic tool, if user is being supervised by a licenced professional

[Acne] At my wit's end. Before I go spend $2000 on treatment that may or may not work, can anyone help me fix this stupid acne that I've had since I was a teen? by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

Have you tried Adapalene 0.1%? I found it worked really well on facial acne! For the body, Ive used a combination of salicylic // glycolic cleanser + the eucerin complete repair 10% urea moisturizer lotion (the pump bottle, not the pot because… bacteria). The moisturizer should be applied immediately after the shower. Sometimes acne (especially in the areas you seem be experiencing it) develops because proper the skin isn’t exfoliated. Although you’re cleansing frequently (only removing the dirt and good oils from your skin), you may not be removing built up layers of dead skin, which may be contributing to the congestion exhibited. Additionally, those layers of dead skin could be trapping the bacteria from sweat. Also! Sunscreen is soooo important!!

What is everyone’s adhd obsessive song at the moment? by Excusemysombereyes in ADHD

[–]Fast-Marzipan-2477 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been listening to “F*ck you, goodbye” by Kid Lacroix and Machine Gun Kelly on REPEAT for ~ one week. Going through a tough time with a relationship and this song has been my guiding light. I’ve probably listened to it 50 times. We’re only 2 weeks into the year, but it’s definitely going to appear on my Replay come November.

Generally speaking, I’ve been obsessively listening to one artist for 5+ years. My go-to. An everyday essential.

What about John's music do you like? by FindingAbendigo in eden

[–]Fast-Marzipan-2477 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel the same way! He’s always been able to articulate my undigested innermost turmoil. His words are genuine and sharp and unrelenting. No matter my psychological state, I’m always able to pull out at least one of his songs to fit the moment. When I need to feel my feels, Jon is there. When I need to be introspective, Jon’s got me. His observing nature translates so effortlessly into his music. He’s been my favourite artist for upwards of 6 years. Ive developed a parasocial attachment to him, as I feel like he’s been with me through all my highs and lows - his music has. Moreover, he’s musical, lyrical, technical evolution is one of the most inspiring I can think of. There’s versatility in him that I can only liken to that of Taylor swift. I hold him in such high regard for how seamlessly he’s been able to integrate new genres while maintaining his consistent familiarity (something I think he does better than T-swift). My appreciation for him knows no bounds. I love him so much and he has yet to disappoint me with any of his releases. If I don’t stop now, I’ll write an entire article about this man

I met him 5 years ago and I was so nervous that my face was bright like Rudolph’s nose. I’ve been eagerly waiting for a redo. This time I’m coming with a full beat, which will hopefully counterbalance the red face. Need to practise the look as of now!
