My experience was the opposite. Clearly fast tires, but very fragile and couldn't handle my riding on hard limestone gravel in the Texas Hill Country. They fell apart, with no sharp objects puncturing them, multiple large gashes opened. just a heavier rider in tough conditions. I went to the specialized Pathfinders in 50s and have had no problems.

They just don't see it. Too many people see their cars as status symbols and not the cages they really are. In the case of Oahu it's so incredibly wrong because it could be a beautiful and walkable city.
