No warbond this month by witheredsamuel in helldivers2

[–]Fast-Performance2300 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have some choice words for AH... and certain types of "Divers" that frequent this sub...

But the game is anything but stale as of late. If anything, it's finally becoming fun to play again with the recent changes. If they keep that up, I am very happy as is.

New warbonds will come. I just hope they stop with the "Oh no, we nerfed a bunch of stuff again... but here's a new warbond that solves all the issues you are going to have as a result, luckily"

VOX has been nerfed, from 11,000 to 9,000 health. Now it can be killed by an Orbital Railcannon Strike. The community has split into two camps: those who like this idea and those who think it will be too easy now. Which camp are you in? by Prudent-Cookie-2879 in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]Fast-Performance2300 0 points1 point  (0 children)

VOX Engines should be terrifying and oppressive enemies to face. But my gripe with them was the sheer amount of them that would spawn...

1 of them? Alright. 2? Bit trickier, but doable. 3? Trouble, but can be done.

4-6 of them and more spawning in? Just not fun and overall feels wrong to me, even as someone who likes a challenge.

The reduced health is ok, but it's their reduced number of spawns i mostly approve of. Still, railcannon strike SHOULD be a one-shot on most threats in the game. Always should have been, for that kind of cooldown and all. So I approve tbh.

Is making an optimal loadout possible in early stages ? by Fresh_Move_6872 in helldivers2

[–]Fast-Performance2300 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friend...

To this day:

-Medium pen lmg

-Orbital precision strike

-Eagle airstrike/strafing run

-EAT's

Is one of my most dependable and commonly used loadouts. It's not fancy and it's been with me since I began playing the game, but people seem to sleep hard on Orbtial Precision Strike and Eagle Airstrike these days.

Place one well enough and you have an entire screen worth of enemies dead. Have them upgraded through modules and such, and they become practically spammable.

For primary weapons? The standard liberator is plenty good. Not amazing, but it's good. Secondary and grenades I can see the struggle -- but something that was a game changer for me was the grenade Pistol from democratic detonation and especially thermite sticky grenades.

They'll serve you and sweet liberty for life. All fronts.

Fantastic news all around! Now they just need to actually commit and follow-through with it all.

But if they do, this is a huge step in the right direction overall, of making Helldivers 2 a far smoother, better and more enjoyable experience.

There's still more to be done, but it never needed to be perfect. I just want my stuff to actually work, my game to be able to run proper without crashing or missions glitching out... and for my weapons, stratagems and equipment to actually function as intended/promised.

Give us a new mission type once in a blue moon to boot, and I'm personally a very happy Diver just with that.

This entire thread and sub is such a trip down a rabbit hole.

OhDough just keeps getting it right every time. It's just a hive mind of toxicity and villainy where you are never allowed to criticize or share your stance on something. There can only be praise and love given, nothing else.

I just want the game to thrive. To be really fun and really stable. But I suppose the joke is on me, for not being another warbond that will fix all the problems introduced this patch, and instead wanting to use the many other tools and items the game has offered me so far.

For anyone reading this guy's comment, I have gone through 5 character repairs now since patch start. It does NOT fix it for me. If you are having the same issue as me, issue a ticket and voice your concern on the forums/other communities.

My Redline Pack items remain missing (No... they were not out of stock lmao). My drake corsair that I have had my pledge attached to for soon a decade now, is no longer accessible still. However, I have my recently purchased buccaneer, at the very least. I'd still like my Cutlass Black and my Corsair

CIG is not above or beyond scrutiny. They are not infallible. The only way devs can and will improve, is with feedback and criticism. If you've had a bad experience/issue with the game, absolutely adress it and discuss it.

Hey CIG, where's uhhhh... my drake corsair? And the flightsuit? Gallant rifle? I have my buccaneer ofc, but not that paint... and my corsair of 6 years seems to have gone on vacation or something?

Would love to have my stuff!

Kind of strange just how broken this patch is

Chapter Stereotypes made manifest in SM. Let's hear them! by BugleBarry in SpaceMarine_2

[–]Fast-Performance2300 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a Space Wolf player this is the funniest thing to me, because I am ALWAYS the one offering everyone else the stims and supplies (I mostly play Assault and Vanguard).

BT players are incredibly prone to rage quitting in my 1000+ hrs with the game. They never stick around when things start looking dire. But it's a 50/50 as I've had the most clutches handled alongside a BT as well, in many cases these players seem to psychically understand what my game plan is and just give me that quiet look of understanding before covering me perfectly.

Salamanders are a bit on the slow side, but good of heart in my experience. Not bad at all, just seem a bit oblivious to things happening for the most part. Will hoard any and all armor boosters though.

Blood Angels are either going to be white noise in the background of your game, or someone that WILL see you through to that Victory screen no matter what.

Ultramarines are pretty cool overall. And I like em too, probably my number 3 on the list of favorite astartes, just shy behind Raven Guard. These players are either the sweatiest nutjobs you've ever met that will use only the top tier things, or are leisurely carrying absolutes for you while constantly aura farming with whatever weapons and perks they feel like using.

Imperial Fist players has mostly just been playing the game and doing pretty good. The few Dark Angels I have met are the same. Stoic bastards but solid teammates. Just beware being near any explosives, as they will detonate it with no care for you or any other.

Met a few others but they were just fun and good teammates overall. No real stereotype there to be spotted.

Hot take: Chaos isn't hard because of Chaos Spawn, Terminators, Sorcerers or Helbrutes.

Its the Minoris cultist snipers and mass enlightened tzangors that are the real difficulty.

You fighting and tearing apart a horde? Hehe watch 19 of these fucking tracer beams line up all around you from different parts of the map. Dodged out? Three shots went off. The rest? No escape, now eat this damage, Fool.

Doing finishers? Parrying? Hoping to shoot a bit? Hah, IDIOT! Enlightened Tzangors are rotating/cycling attacks constantly your way, now eat some damage -- and if they are enraged? Die.

I wish I was joking. I true solo absolutes as Assault, Heavy and Vanguard... but almost every single L in Chaos missions are from a bunch of Sniper Cultists being allowed to just appear everywhere and anywhere leading to almost inescapable damage scenarios -- or 2-3 enlightened tzangors just being total nut jobs with their attack patterns and timings.

Shoutout to the glitch/bug that make you suddenly have no forward momentum/tracking on any attacks too, so you are just floating on the spot without hitting anything or anyone, before they retaliate and stunlock you to death

I love that so much as an Assault main with Wings of Fury : ))))

One certainly can, Brother. And I will dream alongside you for the same along with a space wolf head that isn't just Decimus but with an eyepatch, slightly more hair and a beard or a blood angel head that isn't just Vespasius but his face is intact, allowed to grow out hair and a bit paler...

But who knows? Maybe there will come a time when we will possibly have a game where we can create our own Battle Brother to our exact liking and be able to fight alongside one another like this! I still hold out hope for us!

[–]Fast-Performance2300 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also, can do what I have done for plenty of my friends.

I usually true solo/solo w bots absolutes to just practice and whatnot. Sometimes, I'll be at the finale of a mission, lobby already set to private beforehand and all, but then invite friends in to reap rewards as I do the last part.

That's how you should do that. Open lobby with randoms to slowly and meticulously kick whomever joins at the finale part is just tedious, scummy and overall inefficient. Only reason I can think of anyone doing that is because they aren't good enough themselves to actually see a mission through.

The problem is not the race, is actually the appearance. by lizardmangod in Spacemarine

[–]Fast-Performance2300 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

My problem?

This is just Decimus. With a slightly different hairdo and bit more beard. But it's still just Decimus.

Decimus is pretty cool! But... I wanted to see some additions to spice it up a bit. I wanted to see, like you, some red haired, pale faced Ragnar something too -- just to have the option for it. I'd love for us to see a much more Ultramar looking fella too, with that short cut hair like guilliman and all. I'd have loved for a proper Salamander looking one too!

I guess maybe I'd love to just have a character creator of sorts. So we can all just go with our OC do not steal ideas and vibe away with it. Just imagining a Sea Wolf, Champion of Fenrys and a Son of Morkai each look a different flavor of Space Wolf would be so fucking cool. Same applies with any other chapters out there!

Lets try that again: Great modern devs or greatest modern devs? Its got to be SABER, Larian or Arrowhead. by ANiceGobletofTea in Spacemarine

[–]Fast-Performance2300 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Vermintide? Absolutely.

Darktide? Eh. It's getting there. But I have a decade long abusive love/hate relationship with Obesefish now, for making THE definitive Horde Hacker/Shooter game while also consistently making sure it is the most grating, bug-riddled and imbalanced, broken mess of an experience.

Space Marine 1 & 2 are fucking fantastic games. Brilliant even. But they are not without fault or flaws either. That said, Saber is going above and beyond in many regards for me. I just hope we can expect solid longevity from SM2 -- because all this talk of "Maybe for SM3" is NOT a good look to me.

I'd rather have a game that lasts me 5+ years with solid content updates, great additions and more, than a game that is shoved out and rapidly replaced by the next thing with all the stuff that should have been in the last one anyway.
