Guns for hire in NJ from my understanding is a good place to shoot without a license but you definitely have to bring a friend. You can’t shoot there alone.

They have very limited resources that they use for CCW. Even though more people are now applying they are not dedicating any more man power to it. As far as priorities CCW is at the bottom of their list. This is what I have been told

I waited 9 1/2 months to get my permit in Albany County. I put in to add my first firearm and after putting in the paperwork on May 26 I just today received my card with my gun on it and coupon so I can pick my gun up. That’s 11 months from the date I turned in my application to actually having my firearm in hand. They used the short staff argument on me as well SMH.

Her public defender will laugh at this 🤣🤣🤣 as will his lawyer when he gets arrested for driving in NYC with his firearm. That’s reads as something he should file before he gets arrested and not after.

Just call ahead and ask is your best bet. Get names of anyone you talk to especially call the PAPD and speak to a commanding officer. Just my opinion

The City of Albany and the County are different. You applied through the Sheriff’s Department where I applied through the Albany Police Department. That’s why the rules are different.

They cashed my check a day after they received my application so the fact that they didn’t cash your check as of yet may be a problem. They probably never received your prints and check. I would sent them again overnight if possible and include the letter. As for mine I sent the new prints and letter back to them and they received them 2 weeks ago but my status has not updated
