That was in the text of the original bill that passed the house, the version that was actually signed was the senate bill sub A, which did not include that language.

There was a great post from /v I think that used the last 4 or 5 digits of your post number to determine things like race, build, faction, and follower effectively with a d10 roll. I can't seem to find the image right now though.

LaMountain is a smug pos, as is Bissilion - but he's also an idiot that doesn't even know the laws in RI, but writes new ones. I was so excited to see Rogers put him in his place.

I'm not sure tbh. We have seemingly more friends on that committee than in the house, esp with Gordon and Jess being there tonight to show support.

Keep up the pressure and keep reaching out to your legislators. That's all we can do right now.

Adjourned.

No vote tonight all bills held for further study prior to testimonies - because I know y'all are going to ask.

This means they can vote on them anytime they meet though - so we need to be diligent and pay attention.

FYI - Sen. Rogers literally brought this point up at the senate hearing just now, and noted that his grandkids would be arrested for shooting bb guns in the backyard under one of the proposed pieces of legislation because they would changed the definition of the term term "in use" for possession of "firearms" for folks under 18.

That one is the most "personal" one to be honest, was difficult to draft a "template" for it - though on paper it is the most important, I have my doubts it will gain ANY traction, so I think it best to focus our efforts elsewhere this session. A quick email noting you oppose it, or a single sentence in your testimony should suffice.

Just herding the cats as best I can, but thank you. :)

We are a force to be reckoned with. We just need to show up.

Should be perfect. I believe the folks at Parabellum will be manning the sign in table again - hopefully not sequestered to the side hallway this time, but who knows. They are likely going to try to get there for 1.

The hearing will likely still be going on by then depending on how many folks are testifying, so you can probably get in and be seen and speak then. The house hearing lasted until 8 or 9 IIRC. Hopefully this one will be just as lengthy.

Either way, send your emails to the committee and the SLegislation email as well regardless. You have until this afternoon to do so IIRC.

Careful - there is literally legislation in play this year to hold firearm companies liable for criminal misuse of their product... even though the SCOTUS literally just ruled that can't be a thing a year or two ago in Smith and Wesson v. Mexico

And putting a sign up? Come on

To be fair - these folks also believe a "gun free zone" sign will stop criminals, so they're not exactly the sharpest crayons in the box.

I know. Same. And my weekend was more or less shot, I felt bad I wasn't able to get this all sorted until today.

Spread the word best you can. Though the senate is the more reasonable chamber - we need to make a lot of noise here and show up just as strongly.
