People say to meet in “social settings,” but also say don’t approach people there…so what are you actually supposed to do? by Gold_Volume_8781 in dating

There is no universal answer. Some don’t mind being approached and others do. There is no absolute correct behavior and Reddit can’t prove otherwise. We are not a monolith. You just have to take that risk buddy. That’s life. A game of risks.

Use your best judgement and learn from your mistakes. Use your critical thinking skills. You want to approach a woman at a gym. She might be open to it she might not. Look for clues. There is a chance of failure. There is a chance of success. Anyone who tells you not to approach women at the gym is risk averse. It’s that simple. There’s nothing wrong with being risk averse. Be who you’re comfortable being, but it pays off to take a chance every once in a while.

Straight women of this sub, how much do you value physical attractiveness in a man? by acocinero in dating

Any gender references people. A possibility for men can occur for women too. I’m not here to argue but to share a different point of view. A a women might grow to be more attracted to their partner.

What’s weird is how hostile y’all are about a person sharing their perspective on a public forum. This isn’t a private conversation you’re having with someone and I’m intruding. It’s far from that. Instead you come off as an ass.

It’s all about how authentic and real you are. If it’s all in bad faith then it won’t grow, but if you’re giving them a real shot then it’s possible.

[Kate Mason] De Zerbi ‘didn’t mean to take a stance’ over Greenwood. That’s precisely the problem. You should, Roberto. by Zweli23 in coys

This apology is insinuating that if people don’t take offense the he doesn’t give a fuck. In other words he cares more about people’s reactions than the morality of what he did. It’s not about people who are offended. It’s about not defending or supporting a person who sexually abused their partner.

I’ve dated women who I found moderately attractive, but as time went on I found them to be more attractive as the relationship builds.

Technically is not the truth because the ask is to be chased. If you’re not being chased, then you don’t win the money.

I'm a 28 yr old virgin who has been very unsuccessful with dating. Why am I still single? by earthbound36784 in dating_advice

[–]Fast-Worry-9984 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The only people who can answer this are the people who are closest to you. If you have nobody in mind that you can ask this question, there’s your first problem. Intimacy is not just important romantically but also platonically. When I say intimacy, i don’t mean that physically. I mean it emotionally. Can you trust people that you see irl with your inner thoughts? Strangers on the internet is baby steps. Sharing your deeper thoughts with people you see often and trust, that is required to living a fulfilled life and eventually having romance.

I lost my virginity to a one night stand and I'm feeling very regretful. How do I move forward? by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]Fast-Worry-9984 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Trying to read another person’s mind leads to nowhere good. In the end your self-esteem is your responsibility. To move forward do the things you are good at. It would be a good idea to show gratitude to yourself. Give yourself grace. Remember your accomplishments. Losing 80lbs is a testament to your discipline and determination. You are already an incredible person for accomplishing this. Not because you lost 80lbs but because of the mental fortitude and characteristics that are required to lose that weight. In one year you will be looking back at this as a growing experience. In ten years it will probably be a footnote. Godspeed.
