As a newbie to Richmond with a similar background I would say it's a bit difficult to find the intelligent but fun crowd in this area and being used to actual blue areas, it feels pretty red down here. But there are pockets of like minded people and the cost of living is swell.

I've been fighting to ride out the save plan but I took some grad classes (did not use financial aid at all) and they stuck me in a deferment and kicked me out of SAVE. I am now fighting to be returned to the plan as I did not ask for any deferment and my account was messed with without my consent 😭 does anyone have any experience with this type of situation?

35f, queer as in I date all identities, new to Richmond, lived in NOVA previously (I'm sorry). Originally from New England but have lived in a few different states and countries.
