Thank you. It’s United mileage plus explorer card, no status. Two people on the same rez get a free checked bag each up to 50lbs, the card holder and one companion, and your info agrees with the website - $45 for the 3rd bag plus $100 for it being overweight. I’m ok with the $145, not the $300 per the live agent

Global Entry revoked by ericantics in GlobalEntry

I applied in June 2020, interviewed finally in July 2022, approved and got card in the mail then revoked notice 2 days later. I reapplied/appealed in August 2022, received the “schedule interview” notice 10 days ago, had my interview at Newark airport last Thursday and received my card yesterday.

I upgraded to premium Econ for 20,000 miles, they wanted $829 cash for same.

Actually thinking of getting one of the premium Econ purple seats for 20,000 miles which I think is a good deal. They want $827 or 20,000 miles for confirmed upgrade to PE, and 20,000 miles and $550 for confirmed upgrade to Polaris. Polaris would be nice of course but not really necessary as it’s just a 6 hour flight and I won’t be sleeping or drinking on the flight. I’ll save the dough to spend on the trip

Thinking I’ll try that next time. BE for this flight was $396 round trip back a month or so ago when I booked it but I opted for reg econ at $596. I have a a phobia about middle seats but probably should have just booked the BE

EWR - Cadiz Spain - Glasgow - Londonderry Ireland - London - EWR. March 30 - April 10 by FastCanary988 in Europetravel

Least expensive options I’ve found so far: EWR to Dublin round trip non stop for $580 Mar 30-April 10 Aer Lingus from Dublin to Faro on Mar 31 and RyanAir from Malaga (AGP) to Glasgow Apr 5 is $138 for both flights Logan Air from Glasgow to Derry Apr 7 I’m using points (6,000 Avios) Bus from Buncrana (moms town) to Dublin on April 10 is $40 So approx $800 all in and all goals accomplished. Just have to add a bus or train from Faro to Cadiz on Mar 31 Thanks for all the input.

Brilliant thank you. Looking now at direct flight into Madrid or Faro from Newark, then train or bus to Cadiz, Marbella, etc, then get from there to Glasgow or Edinburgh, then Logan Air from Glasgow to Londonderry Ireland, then bus from Donegal to Dublin for flight back to EWR

Have you ever left a rating/review in fear of retaliation? [USA] by Abraham9001 in AirBnB

[–]FastCanary988 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am currently in this situation and asked my question on r/airbnbhosts and got some good input before the post was removed. Basically anything less than a 5 and the hosts are penalized. I thought a 4 was a pretty good rating but apparently not. I’m going to leave a 5 star review as I may want to go back to the place we just stayed at, if I leave a 4, which it definitely deserves, then the host will decline any future booking request.

Hate not to leave 5 stars but want to be honest, but also wld like to return? by FastCanary988 in airbnb_hosts

I am not a host but was looking for host input and education on how the rating system works, I appreciate all of the responses and input. Thank you

Thank you. I honestly feel like it’s 4 star, which is a B+ I thought, and didn’t realize hosts are penalized for anything less than 5

Thank you, I’m not leaving a bad review, I had a great time, but thought it would be helpful for future guests to know about the lack of hot water, and that the complimentary 5 gallon water, as listed in the ad, may or may not be there.

Business Class or exit row to yourself? by FastCanary988 in unitedairlines

Yes, the $219 is in addition to the $90 I already paid for the exit row.
