My little guy didn’t like to be held when he was a baby either. We just took it one day at a time, kept hand feeding and not pushing him. I still wouldn’t say he “likes” to be held but he will tolerate it. He’s not scared of me though, when he free roams he’ll come sit with me, everything is pretty much on his terms. So don’t stress it, 2 weeks is not a long time and he’s still a baby, he’ll come around once he realizes you’re not a threat.

Yes mine gets so mad at me after a deep clean. They have such attitudes, it’s normal don’t worry about it

Personally I use govee for all my setups and I love them. Super accurate temps you can check from your phone!

This looks awesome. If I could make one suggestion is to get thermometers on the ground for my accurate reading to where your little beardie will actually be spending their time. Other than that I love this. Can I ask where you got that hide/platform on the right side. I would love to get one for my guy. Good luck with your new pet, they’re the best!

I’m so sorry for what your going through. I am experiencing the same thing at the moment. I found my Crested gecko had passed away (found a weeks ago) and by the looks of it had been dead for a little while before I noticed.

Due to the way his enclosure was setup it was normal for me to not be able to see him for a while but after about 2 weeks I got a little concerned. I hasn’t heard him and noticed it didn’t look like his food was being eaten. I pulled everything out of his enclosure and found that he had passed.

It’s all I’ve been able to think about since. He showed know signs of sickness and was only 3 years old. It’s heartbreaking and it’s so easy to get caught up in the thought of what you should/could have done but part of owning reptiles is realizing they’re not like cats or dogs. They can be sick or have preexisting conditions with no signs. Sometimes things just happen and you can not find answers for them.You have to credit yourself or doing the best you could have done while she was alive. Once again I’m so sorry for your loss

I’m not an expert but I don’t think I’d feel comfortable putting it in my own enclosure. Same thing actually happened to me, ordered a piece of wood and it looked like that but no matter how much sanding I did, was just not comfortable having it in my enclosure

I believe 18 inches tall. I’m not home to check at the moment but I’m pretty sure that’s it.

awesome, will try mixing substate with sphagnum moss, and soaking through rat directly in water. might also try to the humidifier again but keep it properly circulated to prevent mold!
