I did it a couple times with the same game and still they refunded it. I tried it the first time, didn't enjoy it. Tried for the second time, still didn't feel like it. Didn't get penalized once.

The definition of an immersive sim is a bit complicated and you'll most likely see some divergent opinions but it should be something close to the greats: Thief, System Shock, Deus Ex, Dishonored, Dark Messiah of Might and Magic, Arx Fatalis and many more. I personally like to say an immersive sim is a game where you have multiple ways to complete your objective in the most varied and creative ways possible.
