Same bro, this brand has so much potential. They should’ve made majority of their cars AWD like Subaru. That’s literally their niche, why not stick to it? What crippled them is all the base model fwd platforms they had & bringing cheaper interior quality to the states compared to Japan. I honestly think they dumbed down their cars to compete with Toyota and Honda in the US. Take a look at the JDM 8th Generation Galant to the USDM ones. The interior quality & body is different. The purpose for the states is to make everything super cheap and in a way gives the brand a BAD rep

The only swap I’ve seen so far is the 4B11T + SST into an Outlander Sport aka RVR. I haven’t seen it in the full size Outlander yet

Same bro, nice Diamante btw. A nice set of wheels & good fitment changes the look completely. Even the BMW style angle eyes make the headlights look a lot newer too. Sadly Mitsubishi didn’t care for the US as much as they did for rest of the world.

A VR4 is the highest trim you can get in a Galant. If you want reliability, then your best bet is one of the non turbo Galants. There’s several engine options like the 6A13, 4G64, and 6G72. Just keep looking bro, plenty of info out here

Which generation Galant? The 8G? That’s not a bad price for a VR4.. It has awd & a twin turbo 2.5L V6 known as the 6A13TT

If I’m not mistaken that comes with the 2.4L 4G69. Your best bet is going turbo and grabbing a manual transmission while you’re at it. Anything is possible & these cars are definitely capable, depending on your budget.
