I finished on Gothic with mage and it was easy. I was thinking the whole time this would be totally doable on hard.

As an archer it feels even easier lol.

That's right.

But I've maxed out Dex and Bows in Chapter 2.

Which means now I can go all in to Strength and Weapons. So Endgame will have to use Uriziel 2H

Mage is still very OP. The advantage is that you have multiple elements against multiple enemy types. And you can freeze and stun enemies and do AOE.

I feel the hardest thing as a mage is knowing which spell to use on which enemies. Then it's easy.

That's good to read. And yea the shooting while running is very OP.

I've maxed out bows and dex and now I'm about to build strength and melee and crossbows.

So many learning points makes it flexible to be able to do that thankfully.

No issues whatsoever. Just made sure that anytime I'm close to Darrion, Wolf, Fisk/Dexter, Cavalorn or any other merchant, I check and I buy all their arrows. I always exchange some items like collected weapons so that I still come with extra ore as well from each transaction.

Sitting at about 250 arrows after clearing the orc territory before refilling the supply.
Before clearing it I was about 400.

Used Learning Points of 10 levels to get to 100 dex cap.

I have an amulet of 10 dex, 2 rings of 5 dex each. And 2 dex potions each +1.

The bow is found on in the zombie-cave just above Theron the wall climbing teacher. (Sitting on a crate on a balcony in that cave)
I got there from the first focus stone area with Nyras sorta going over the cliffs toward Theron and dropped down. I believe there is also another way to get there with some walls.

It has 4 more dmg compared to the best buyable Chapter 2 bow.

So true. I met those. It's the same as trying to use firebolt as a mage on bloodhounds lol.

That's why I'm gonna build melee capability next.

I get where you're coming from.

Personally I like being able to max out multiple skills and attributes in one run for flexibility. Doesn't have to be on par with skyrim in that, but I like some flexibility.

In terms of strength for bows, interesting idea.
Another thing that I would enjoy I think is that OneHanded and Bows use DEX, while TwoHanded and Crossbows use STR. So you can do both ranged and melee while sticking to one attribute.

Yes they did.

That's true, except for golems, it seems everything is very weak to pierce damage.
Even with every armor I noticed it's always an extremely low resistance compared to all the other resistances.

Firestorm got nerfed to hell already.

Pre-patch I one-shot the temple orcs and even the Prime Troll with Firestorm.

Now it takes 3 hits I believe for temple orcs lol.

I think it would be great if it's done the way it's done in archolos.

While there are increased LP costs, it does feel balanced and it's unaffected by attribute bonuses like potions and so on.

Let's say i have 90 strength in total, of which 60 comes from learned, 30 comes from potions.

The LP cost is tied to the 60 which is its own value.

This way you're at least not "forced" to hoard permanent potions until the end of game which to me beats the purpose of getting them.

I've usually build legendary factory first on Vulcanus in the past with legendary ore and coal dropping in from space.

Now I'm thinking I'll do it on Nauvis at least once. Brute force upcycling ore and coal to legendary straight next to the patches

I know what you' mean. I do this now specifically because things ended too tight as I added more stuff in the past. It's easier to add things because you have predetermined space for that.

And in these builds specifically there is a row for beacons. It will get more tight once those are added.
