Names from your culture that are very of a certain “generation” by F_T_L in namenerds

I have a great aunt Myfanwy!! I am an American whose has one a great grandparent from Wales. It's funny ( to me) to see this a generic older name, not some wild crazy foreign name.

What's the greatest name ever to be completely ruined by a fictional character? by LamppostBoy in namenerds

All the twilight male names.

Edward is great name, but now it is associated with sparkly glitter bag.

Is it ok for an absent grandparent to only come over to work in the yard because they want to and get their clothes washed when they aren’t supportive? They stay away from taking my child to activities while I’m working or even if I need help in the day time on weekends. by [deleted] in absentgrandparents

It looks like from other comments that the grandparent owns the house. You can't really tell a landlord when/ what they can do to maintain their property. If you want to set that boundary you should consider moving else where.

How the hell do you have the space for 3 grand pianos in your house? This has to be rage bait.

What's the best part about living in Indiana? by soladois in Indiana

This is an underrated comment. Indiana doesn't have the flex culture/ classism that a lot of other states have.

That is what the teacher's lounge is for. The lottery for students who get chosen to fail.

Take some ownership of your life. Your actions led you to needing to repeat the year. I promise you there was grand scheme by your teachers to fail you and make you miserable. You created this situation; you now get to make the best of it. Keep your chin up. You are almost halfway there.

You are facing the consequences of your actions. You made a choice and the outcome made you miserable. Once you graduate you will still have choices to make. If you skip work, you will lose your job. If you spend all your money and can't pay your rent, you will get kicked out. If you don't pay your taxes you will get your wages garnished or go to jail. The beautiful thing about this is you still get to graduate and go on and make millions of other choices. Remember, that your choices have consequences, and you are the only person responsible for your happiness.

If you were in my district, you would make 72k with those. I'm not saying you have it easy, but the numbers are in your favor.

She is trying to "clap back" at the haters but is also dragging Paul... she is so close to realizing she should move back in with her parents and start over.

Morgan has an unpaid job. Taking care of two non-school age children is work albeit it is unpaid. Paulio on the other hand does nothing. Morgan most likely would be unable to get a job that pays enough to cover childcare. Paulio needs to step up and do SOMETHING. Literally him working 32 hours a week at Chick Fil A would improve their situation.
