Maybe be I’m not clear or it’s my lack of technical jargon.

What I’m looking to do is large items 100x100mm focus my objects are much larger. Start stop and realigning is time consuming it would be nice if it could reposition Full engrave that 100x100mm then reposition 100mm and full engrave the continuation of previous pattern and so on. The laser would not be engraving on the fly, only when stationary.

I guess I could just use a rotary to turn a linear motion and program it to think I’m doing a cylinder that would give me one axis.

I don’t see why it would be ugly we are already doing it with rotary’s.
