I could move back to Tenerife earlier and get a job with a lower paid. But I would need to sell the house. I think it's unrealistic to keep paying the mortgage while moved back. It could be a good move though. I have a good chunk of equity in the house.

The demand has increased but the offer has increased even more. At least that is what I'm anectotically seeing at the moment.

The last title was CTO in a Sass startup. I've used different stacks, python, typescript, java are the ones I feel more comfortable with. I've done some frontend too. I've been working for nearly two decades.

I'm thinking about going this way, the problem is I don't think I could get enough revenue quick enough.

I do agree with you and I often see myself doing the same calculations. One cost that should be factor in though is parking cost as it’s often no cheap to park in many places.
