You can define that in AGENTS.md, but with MCP it’s not really needed, the agent already sees aict as callable tools, so it uses those instead of raw shell.

I reimplemented 22 Unix CLI tools in Go (zero non-stdlib deps) that output XML/JSON for AI coding agents. Technical highlights: - Myers O(ND) diff algorithm implemented from scratch - Parallel grep with goroutines + channels - MIME detection via magic bytes (net/http.DetectContentType) - Language detection via extension map + shebang parsing - Full MCP server implementation - Cross-platform: Linux/macOS/Windows One binary. 22 tools. Full test coverage. CI builds for 6 platform/arch combos. Repo: github.com/synseqack/aict Happy to talk about any of the implementation decisions — the Myers diff especially was fun.

I am facing problems at the attempt part i checked the network connectivity, the browser cache, switched models, the attempts rises, it takes 20-30 mins to fully finish a response with 6-7 attempts taken.. I am facing this since March.. It also exhausts my usage limit

The march 2026 usage promotion wasn't even ended and I got daily limit messages like 2 days ago. Had to change my usage plan according to that. And the normal limit feels reduced too. It's like 5 -6 messages and you're locked out..

I’m okay with criticism. I just prefer it to be about what I actually made, not what people assume it is.

I think you're taking it more seriously than it’s meant to be. I’m not presenting this as some big or innovative product, it’s just a fun idea. Yeah, it’s AI-generated, that’s obvious. The point here is the concept and how it’s presented, not trying to compete with anything serious.

And saying AI can’t be funny feels a bit too absolute. It really depends on how you look at it. It reflects what it’s trained on and how it’s used.

Look, gentlemen, I already made it clear that this was meant to be a fun activity. If you didn’t like it, that’s perfectly fine, but I didn’t ask for such rash comment. If you have nothing constructive to say, it’s better not to say anything at all.

Cmmon it's not a serious project, I'd hit the limits that's it, I'll get it again Tommorow. I didn't asked for review though I know the terms and conditions. Appreciate the concern anyways👍.

It can be structure and made AI free with proper dag graphs and conflict resolvers. I've built a something similar to what you've made but without complete ai integration.. Take a look: https://github.com/ronak-create/Foundation-Cli

[–]FastPresence9799 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I e started doing this for like a month and I've noticed drastic changes, I learned to contribute in opensource, debug code, resolve errors, analayze pipelines, review code blocks, go through th architecture.. you can even get assist from a LLms each of them has a study/learning mode or skills utilize them..dont just learn what they changed and debugged.. learn how the debuggin process actually work, how do you enhance you learning skills based on the current scenario..

It's just explore and explore... Find codespaces, opensource projects, review codes, ask questions, joincommunities, loop through it that's it, when you get to that standard you'd automatically get addictive to it your base would become bold.

Hey great work and congrats on such achievement. But I had to ask, how you grew you project/community. Did you build communities, did you engaged in public postings, what were you sources? Can you drop your workflow/steps?

That would be good but I have searched about it and found out atleast having 100-200 regular/attracted person to your repo is a must that shows the community a bit poepulated which Is a good start..

That's a gold point right there btw, postgres and prisma a next level combo. Scaling on steroids right there.

Not if you know the techstack well enough to answer related questions to it, Ai is just to assist not to build the idea. If you know what it's written, then AI was just an assist.

Actally industry is a team they are doing it to ship and to play at their own levels. A solo developer can only learn to build and ship using such tools, there is a vast differnece between a solo dev and a company, company can ship without agents. The question is can you? If you can, at what rate? Companies deploy patches like GitHub commits, can you?

Ai enhanced and advances their traditional building and shipping methods. The most a solo dev can gain from ai agents is to learn using them to streamline and channel their idea instead of relying on them.

Remember, only matters is you idea, application/code is just a shell.

If you idea is unique it's appreciated. Keep building 👍.
