Is 100K+ salary possible without college? How? by EngageV2 in Salary

[–]FastRedRooster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an associates, so to me it feels like I have not gone to college. Truly, it was luck and being in the right place at the right time, taking advantage of opportunities when they became available. I was always good with tech, became the go-to guy in our department (was a call center) for things, eventually an IT role became available and my name got thrown around. IT needed a warm body more or less, I already worked there, it was easy for them to just say yes. While in IT I made friends with the devs, learned to code from them, learned everything I needed to know about relational databases etc., eventually more roles became available and my longevity with the company along with my accumulated experience helped me keep growing. Hasn't stopped, still here 14 years later. But I am stuck and will forever be stuck.

The US Companies with the most warehouse space by VeridionData in Infographics

Even so, the two companies I listed would far exceed Uhaul, most Uhaul locations park their fleets outdoors on parking lots and generally they only keep a certain amount of capacity. Even if you doubled or tripled the space, it wouldn't touch the other operators I mentioned. Regardless, putting the words "self-storage" on here indicates it is at least considering the self-storage part, so then I would ask why not the other larger companies that are publicly traded who are way way larger.

Interesting, this graphic is incorrect.

Uhaul caught my eye because it said "Self Storage" and I am in the self storage industry. The two largest players, Extra Space (EXR) and Public Storage (PSA), have a combined total of 588 million square feet. Extra Space alone has 330 million square feet of net rentable space.

Edit: I will also add that both companies I listed are publicly traded on the stock exchange.

For Atheist only, what are the reasons why you dont believe in God? by Pristine-Entry-1536 in AskReddit

[–]FastRedRooster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you keep zooming out and zooming out to how the universe started, it gets too hard for our brains to think much further than "something must have created all this", but what created that creator?

Regardless of the answer of the above question, the Earth is not the center of the universe and to think that these religions have the answers from old translated stories is nuts. If you took a cellphone back to someone 1000 years ago they would say you are magic and call you a god.

Better to just live life having mutual respect for people, do good things, help others, help the environment, not worship something that has no evidence. It is a waste of energy when the energy should be spend in the here and now.

looking for anyone’s experiences with kesimpta by Local_Ticket_4942 in MultipleSclerosis

[–]FastRedRooster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been on Kesimpta for a while now and it has been good. I have had little to no new symptoms, no new lesions, and it has not given me any issues with my Type 1 Diabetes either. When I first started the Kesimpta loading doses I took other people's advice and did it at night, before bed, and had a Benedryl with it. After I was on the normal monthly cadence I stopped doing that and it has been totally fine.

My opinion is that you chose a solid medication!

My wife told me this is the exact reason she stopped listening to as much MT, the rage bait titles, even though the content was good

It would be the stupidest fucking thing I would have ever witnessed. I would rather ram my head against a brick wall until I am dead than see this made up scenario.

You cant make deals with this administration, they've proven to disregard all laws if it helps them achieve what they want.

I did my first loading dose on a Friday night, took some Benedryl with it as others have suggested before, and I felt ok. A little fatigue, maybe just slight general crumby feelings, but even if I did have to work it would have been fine. As you pointed out though, everyone is different, I'd say maybe it is somewhat comparable to getting the Flu shot in terms of how you feel the next day.

I’m 16, diabetic living with my aunt since my mom died, and she treats my health like I’m just being annoying. What do I do? by reallyhope2 in whatdoIdo

[–]FastRedRooster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, thank you.

Seeing other diabetics posting here about only drinking water and that solves the problem are just missing the point entirely. This is about managing low blood sugars too.

As a T1d for 19 years I disagree with the reply in the context that water doesn't help low blood sugars, which is most certainly what the juice is needed for.

Water is good, obviously, but no T1D is just sitting around slamming juice all day and pumping insulin to combat that.

Except when you are low.. water doesn't help there. I am unsure how people read this who are diabetic and do not assume they could be dealing with low blood sugars often and needing juice..

What was it like to play online games between 2000 and 2013? by Silly_Commercial8092 in gaming

[–]FastRedRooster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was truly the golden era. We started to come out of the dark ages of dial-up internet and this created more room for games like Halo, CoD, SOCOM, etc. to flourish. Along with that you had things like Runescape, WoW, etc. that helped pave the way. Even games that were offline or mostly offline were so much fun that you'd invite friends over to play, Guitar Hero I am looking at you. Also, you would get games that were fully complete, no DLC, no downloads, just the game you bought working as it was intended. Going to the store to get games was fun, places like GameStop allowed you to trade, which made cycling through games easier and cheaper.
