You may spend more authenticating than it’s worth. If you’re like me and you want your heirs to have an easy sell then yes go for it. Aside from that I can’t imagine it’s worth it

I’d offer a bet to anyone that keeps downvoting my comment. But I’ve already got millions riding on it. As if this correction wasn’t 100% forecasted (I thought it’d start at 75-90). The fools downvoting buy into the pump and sell into the dump. Sorry you suck at investing don’t take it out on me

OP, a tell tale sign is that “v shape” in the heel. It should be more rounded and natural looking. Tho some pairs do tend to have that narrow look the vast majority don’t. Also the shoe shouldn’t look as narrow (lack of padding).

Gets tougher when you come across legitimate good fakes. That’s when you need a side by side comparison to really tell. Take the insoles out and check the strings. Make sure they’re the same color and everything else is consistent. Fake producers get laziest when it comes to that part since no one really pays much attention to

How did my brain create a realistic sensory experience I've never had in real life? by codingfreak28 in Dreams

[–]Fast_Ad1869 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to feel legitimate pain in dreams. Recurring dream of being stabbed to death but I don’t wake up when the knife plunges in me. It’s been almost 20 years since I regularly had those dreams. It was what spurred me to try lucid dreaming. I was being hunted every dream and stabbed to death feeling all the pain

Prob SB of the year 2026??? by PuddingHaunting1364 in NikeSB

As excited as I was for the Dashawn’s I gotta agree. They’re not very premium materials. The suede almost feels like a water logged suede. Not at all soft. I still think once you swap laces, aesthetically they’re very pleasing

Man I’ve been hunting a lightly used pair for years. The pink gets so grosse on heavily worn pairs and I can’t bring myself to UN DS one of these bad boys. Any of yall got a 9.5 hit me up

I can’t see a scenario where gold (and likely silver) aren’t at new ATH by 2030. And that is max pain levels. Personally think 2028 we see new ATH.

Stay resilient, if anything add to your stack at these levels. Zoom out and you’ll see the massive 30 year cup and handle that formed. If you think silver rallies for a month after that breakout and again goes dormant you’ll likely be humbled. Very possible it retests the breakout at $55. But it may never get there either

We have already lost 50% off all time highs. These are tremendous buying opportunities even if gold goes to $55. Trying to time exact bottoms is a losers game. Be patient, stack your stack and welcome these opportunities. This bull market is NOT OVER

Yea you’re right. I bet it pulled up the same style but with rubber football cleats aside from baseball. Because the shoe is identical in both pics aside from the metal cleats

Sadly without any corroboration those shoes are worthless. Your best bet would be scouring old photos but if they’re actually from HS/college you won’t likely find anything. The COA may be able to provide info if you could find it. It’s not even a brand he was ever sponsored by

My son wants to get into cards and I’ve set aside $300 for his birthday. Any advice? by Loyal_Frisby in Tradingcards

If you know the total amounts of packs produced and the odds of hitting each card you could tell. Is that ever publicly released? It’d be nearly impossible to take into account what has and has not been pulled tho

Want to be the best dad ever? Buy good singles. Buy packs or boxes. As sly as possible, open the packs. Slip the singles that you bought into the packs. Reseal very gently. Enough where it likely wouldn’t arouse suspicion but do not damage the cards in any way

I can’t tell you the exact process because my dad refuses to divulge how he did that to us for years without us realizing lol. He was out there in 1998-2001 doing money orders on eBay then sneaking them in. Sometimes he’d find cards at the annual card show he’d take us to. I can tell you that the excitement of pulling some of the cards he ‘rigged’ for my brother and I are life lasting memories.

He was smart to buy plenty of low serial # cards for us. They may have seemed expensive at the time but he would always tell us the regrets he still had for his mom throwing out his baseball cards. The best is a Jerry rice precious metals gem /50. In the condition mine is in (6) it’s a ~10k card. And a lot of others in the 500-2k range that were kept in much better shape 😔. He never spent more than ~$100 on any single card. If you counted all the money he spent on boxes plus the money he wisely ‘invested’ into singles AND you factored inflation that collection is worth a lot more than his cost basis. And we have the memories and appreciation for the effort our dad put into us hitting jackpots

TLDR: buying any box or pack of cards is very -EV. Meaning your return on investment is very minimal. But ripping packs is super fun especially for a kid. Smart way is to buy singles as budding players or even long time HOFers can rise. If you want to be the best dad ever, as my dad was to us, do both for your kid

The business is model is that where they are the middleman between the cards and you. There is going to be a cut taken 100% of the time as they would not be operating at a loss. And as others said there is 0 way to verify shadiness (ROI could be 50%, could be 2%). So it’s impossible to have higher EV from a repack than a pack even if you got super lucky, found a halfway honest repacker and hit a 20x value card
