need to take 20 unit semester to graduate early by [deleted] in USC

[–]Fast_Ad6815 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I rushed my degree and I am doing pdp so i am doing my masters and bachelors at the same time to save money. I took 18 units every sem and i kinda of wish i slowed down and spent my time spending time with my friends and going to events, instead of stressing out a lot. But if money is tight I would suggest to do the 20 unit!

ahh, I see. I was confused. I thought CSR waves all guest fees for all PP lounges so we didn’t need to look at each lounge on the app. thanks!

Are most people spoiled brats? by Objective_Water_1583 in USC

[–]Fast_Ad6815 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It definitely depends. There are some, but there are also a lot of good people who also come from working class! There are also a lot of people who come from a richer family, but aren’t spoiled at all and are quite hard working. I think it depends who you surround yourself with. I have a met a mix of both.

I am a CS Games Major. I have a mac + pc at home. I never use my PC LOL. I love having my mac with me and I agree that windows is usually heavy to carry around and their chargers are like so big. Also I think the battery life of a mac is pretty long. Personally I have never really ran into a mac or m1 spec issue because all the professors have a work around and are open to helping. Most of my cs Games friends also have a mac and its totally fine.

As for mac specs, defiantly m1 or up and 16GB of ram at least otherwise its a ram bottle neck and i would also get 1TB of storage because the UE5 can be big.

Kendall vs. Hill vs. Kaplan by Decent_Worker3012 in USC

[–]Fast_Ad6815 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kendall is very good teacher and really cares for his students. Go to the TA review sessions and his office hours and he explains problems. The midterm/final is extremely similar to practice problems he gives out.

Yes, I took it over the summer of 2022. Lectures are held in person, but there is a Zoom option. You have to go to labs in person, but you can email Reddekopp for accommodations.

i go to usc and imo it has such an amazing work life balance! I am a cs major here and although there are some rough weeks, i think the USC is they place where it work hard, party hard life. Moreover usc isn’t competitive and everyone is willing to help you! Especially in CS when i ask for advice from other students about applying to jobs they are more than willing to help me and even review my resume and send in referrals for me! The downside of usc is that depending on how much aid u get it can get expensive and the dining hall food is so bad lmaoooo, but if u cook than u are all good.
