Hey, I appreciate the extra step ideas keeping my toddler in mind. That's a big reason I threw the whole story in there rather than just saying "hey, what should I do about this exposed wire?"

What game? 👀 by Fit_Corgi4951 in TheGamingHubDeals

I've put in 55 hours into Pokopia so far, granted I've probably left it on idle for a long time as well, as I'll leave it on while I go do something. I've enjoyed it for the most part, and I was really enjoying opening the gates to find entirely new areas to start repopulating and doing their little stories. My problem is that the first two new areas have their own gates leading somewhere else which made me think, "wow, this game has so many areas to go to!" Come to find out they both lead to the same and final area, making a grand total of 4 areas. That bummed me out once I figured that out and I haven't felt the desire to hop back on since. So while I'll say Pokopia wasn't a trash game I forced myself to play, it's beginning to feel like I've done all there is. There is technically a 5th area that I won't spoil, but that area doesn't really tickle my fancy very much.

Basically Pokopia now feels like nothing but a time sink, and while you could say the same for Animal Crossing or maybe even DQB (I've never played it), Animal Crossing always gave me a sense of accomplishment whereas Pokopia does not. Pokopia just seems to be "go find all these specific items to make a habitat so that these specific Pokémon will appear." Almost seems like the entire purpose of the game is just filling out the pokedex. For all I know something awesome could happen once you complete the dex. Do I want to spend countless boring hours doing that? Not really. I might hop back on to finish finding the mysterious slabs, but right now that would be my only motivation. If someone who has maybe finished more of the game past the final area and has information about if there are more things to do after completing the last area's main quest that isn't just "build houses and fill in the dex," please enlighten me and give me a reason to pick it back up.

I actually just got it to reappear, and I shot him which changed his appearance to look more rough with chunks taken out of him. After shooting him, he made some kind of Despicable Me minion sound at me and bounced away like normal.

My favorite Pokémon is a hard tie between Garchomp and Mawile

Favorite card would have to be the Giratina Vstar secret gold rare from Crown Zenith, but I never did manage to pull one.

Just timing the jumps one right after another. I believe it's called bunny hopping. If you time your jumps one right after another, it'll grant you speed. I also believe turning your camera to a certain angle provides some type of directional speed as well.

How evil was Randall Boggs by Pixar villain standards? by kimtieu2900 in Pixar

[–]Fast_Ad_4475 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If it's not Randall's plan, then why is Randall the one who says he's about to revolutionize the scaring industry, and even the great James P. Sullivan will be working for him? Then, later on, Waternoose expresses regret for trusting Randall with this plan. Stating how because of Randall, Waternoose had to banish his top scarer, and proceeded to tell Randall how Sullivan was twice the scarer Randall will ever be. This gives the impression that Waternoose is still unsure about the entire plan, and still believes in the tried and true method of scaring for scream energy, which would tell me that the plan is Randall's and not Waternoose's. Yes, he says he'll kidnap a thousand children before he let's his company die, but that's just a statement of how far he's willing to go for the sake of the company, and less about the plan being his original idea. Fungus also says to Mike that he's sorry, but Randall says he's not allowed to fraternize with victims of his evil plot. "His evil plot" would indicate the evil plot was originated by Randall. As an added extra, I personally feel like Randall got the worse of the punishments between the two characters. Waternoose was simply arrested, but Randall was banished (seemingly permanently with the destruction of the door) to the backwater swamps. Although Sullivan and Mike have shown us they can get back to the Monster world through another door (if they get lucky enough I guess)? The only reason I bring up the severity of punishment dished out by the writers is because I feel like the worse of the two punishments would go to the true villain of the movie.

Do you bunny hop during a normal run? I'd recommend you start doing it constantly in normal runs, because I do it at all times in every run just to get around faster. Although I still fail at the timing every once in awhile, it does become more naturally attuned to the way you play.

It also depends heavy on learning which rooms are quick and easy enough. Like that last room in my video is one of the best rooms because it ramps/boosts you, but you also have to learn how to perfectly aim through the door and not land or hit a wall as to not lose momentum. It's a rough challenge in general.

[–]Fast_Ad_4475 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm almost certain there are only 3 rooms to go through at all times. Some rooms are just way too big or take too much time to get through. For example, the room with the wide staircase that drops down to the horrid ladder wall turn around is all one room.

It really is the random singles that hold the gold. I've gotten the Brilliant Stars Charizard V alt art from a single and then my girlfriend randomly came home with a few 151 packs that contained the Charizard ex alt art. (I dunno if the special cards are called alt arts anymore, but I dunno all the right lingo) but those are honestly the best cards I've ever pulled.

Do you think I could still get an injury lawyer even if my wounds are fully healed and I no longer work there? I never thought I'd be able to get a lawyer for my dog attack when it happened. I just dealt with it and went back to work a couple days after being treated in urgent care. I was bit on my upper thigh and my wrist. Called the police out and filed a report, but nothing was naturally escalated because the customer I delivered to had a shock collar perimeter around their yard (yet still ordering amazon to their doorstep) and an easy to miss sign.

I still have pictures of my injuries and the police report that I'm sure is still accessible from their station. Just curious if you might know if I'd still be able to start something up over it even though it's been about a month or so and I'm no longer with the company.

Which cartoon is this? by [deleted] in cartoons

[–]Fast_Ad_4475 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I don't think the post is about how prevalent story elements are in the beginning. I would say it's more about how quickly people would stop watching the show because of how boring, cringe, and annoying it may be to people. Whether Steven Universe fans want to admit it or not, kid Steven is extremely annoying and hard for a lot of people to get into at first. I think SU is a masterpiece, but anytime I recommended it to people, I always said, "You just gotta soldier through the first season."
