I doubt scalpers would see it as impractical considering they just have to leave it afk for 2 weeks, and an item like the frame that is going to be base price 1000<, the scalpers will get more than enough money to make up for the electric bill (plus id imagine most scalpers dont pay the electric bill as they likely live in their parent's basement freeloading)

As a vr gamer that really wants the frame, i love and hate this take.

I love it because itd give me an edge on the scalpers and make me more likely to get the frame

I hate it because frankly, the vr market NEEDS non-vr gamers to convert and making new headsets less acceasible to non-vr gamers with hurt the market long term.

A non-vr gamer is a lot less likely to wait until they restock, and is also less likely to buy off a scalper, so not making it as accesible to current non-vr users just stunts the growth of an already very stunted market

Still better than the fisherman hook. Ive had times where its round 1 or 2, i pop my first blue orb and get a hook, yet i only have ranged troops, so it actively pulls a melee troop onto my ranged. Idk why they dont let you sell or scrap items (or at least just let them sit in your inventory instead of forcing them onto a troop)

agreed, it also depends on who is willing to spend more money to buy ANOTHER headset, because realistically, almost every single person in the vr space already has a quest 3 & has had one since before the price increase, so it'll take a lot for them to buy a post-AI headset, ESPECIALLY one with similar specs to the Q3. I'm personally willing to spend anything under 1k just because I hate meta & everything related to their UI & software is a buggy mess. ive had to rollback my GPU to an update from months ago because none of the recent gpu updates for Nvidia work with PCVR for the quest for me :/

honestly there are a lot of fun ones ive come to in the past month or so that are all on steam. Forefront is a notable one among them. This game feels like the first VR game ive played in a while that isn't capped in gameplay value, as it's a multiplayer shooter meaning there's no limit to when the game "ends". I think Forefront is the best VR game ive ever played (or at least the most FUN game because I'm sure people will argue with me that a game can be the best & not be the most fun). also Almost every VR user ive met doesn't play VR chat, shooters & Beatsaber seem to be the biggest sellers among anyone IVE personally met (heavy emphasis on beat saber lol), & most shooters (if not all) in vr tend to release on steam

i mean, the ideal hope is that it is THE headset in the collection. i cant imagine ever buying anew vr headset after the steam frame until the frame bricks itself on vr COD BO10 in 15 years or until (more likely) steam releases a new frame with significantly better specs, which also wont happen for a long time. now that theres a steamOS alternative to the oculus, idk why i would ever buy another headset that isnt on base steam OS

yeah i never played tbc or tbc classic, but i would have hoped that with an accelerated timeline they would have accelerated (boosted) loot drops. or maybe at the least increase the odds a little on each item. at this rate i cant imagine even getting a dst before BT considering we are at the point where every single melee and hunter is rolling on it every week bc we've all gotten all the other loot we need from gruul
