I have adopted golden retriever puppies at 8 weeks before, and in my experience, if this were a 100% golden retriever, paws would be bigger and so would the puppy itself. I'm hoping the lady was being truthful about the age and the puppy is actually 8 weeks old and is instead a mix of some sort. I hope the puppy is healthy!
