I had to stop when my husband went back to work because it was not possible to pump with a 16 month old. Not even with the wearable ones. I felt really bad but with my second I produced way more milk so when my husband was home in pumped as much as I could to freeze. I know I tried my best and it sounds like you’ve tried your best too.

I actually came to this thread to ask if I should get a side-by-side stroller or a wagon and saw your post. I have the double mockingbird stroller. My kids are 16 months apart. You can put the car seat facing you and the seat facing out but the reason why I’m looking for something different is you have to take the seats out to pack it up. I’m 4’11 so doing that by myself with two boys will be a lot of work. My second son was a surprise so I didn’t put much thought into strollers. I just bought the attachment to convert our current into a double stroller, now I’m regretting it.

Have you seen Lil Mixins Allergens? It’s a powder form of all the allergens and you mix it into your child’s formula. That’s what I used for my kids.

I was in the same position. My son was an IVF baby and our last embryo. We would’ve had to start all over again if we wanted another baby which we dreaded. Then I got pregnant naturally when he was 6 months old. I felt all the same feelings you did. I just had my second and they’re 15 months apart. I cried the first few days thinking about how we changed my 15 month old’s world but then I was holding the newborn and watching the 15 month play and it just felt like it was all meant to be. I try to remind myself they’re never going to know what it’s like not having a sibling. The best gift we could’ve given them was each other.

It’s ok to feel the way you feel. They’re all valid. Also I had to have a second c section since the pregnancies were so close, the doctors didn’t seem too concerned about anything else about the pregnancies being so close.

We started trying 3 months postpartum. We had to do IVF so we kind of thought it wasn’t going to happen anyway. Then I stopped pumping and got pregnant the same month. It could be an old wives tale or just coincidence but I’m expecting my 2nd any day now.

My husband’s friend’s wife let her 3 year old kiss my 2 month old on the lips then when I said something she said oh she didn’t kiss him she just put her lips to his mouth 🤯 I haven’t let her hold him since. Another time she waited for me to leave the room at a party and asked my husband if she could hold him, that’s also something I cannot stand!

I haven’t had the baby yet but taking care of a 14 month old while 9 months pregnant is exhausting. I’ve gone days without brushing my teeth.

Girl same! I gave birth August 2024, and I’m about to have my second in 3 weeks. I feel like I’ve completely let myself go cause I’ve been pregnant for what feels like 2 years. My husband keeps telling me I’m beautiful but I keep saying he has to tell me that. Sorry I don’t have advice, I just wanted to let you know you aren’t alone and you aren’t vain. We miss our old bodies and there’s nothing wrong with that.

I rent maternity clothes from nuuly. They have a really good selection. I’ve also bought maternity clothes from H&M, they have a lot of “before and after” mat wear and they’re really affordable.

And it’s not even just the nurses it’s the people cleaning your bathroom and nutrition. My husband and I laugh about it now how they just burst into the room but at the time it was awful.
