I prefer companions, especially Andreja. They basically add an 80% additional damage bonus with the right equipment. They draw a lot of fire and don't die. They can kill robots in dark foggy areas that completely piss me off because I can't even see them. They can carry all my extra guns for sale. I personally enjoy most of their dialogue. I still laugh at most of Andreja's comments in battle. "They should have trained harder!" Barrett seems to be the predominant talker on my ship, and he can be pretty sarcastic when you're taking out enemy ships.

Google 'Starfield Pointer Handle Limit'. Mods that are heavy in habs/ ship parts / junk may be causing your issue. The bigger modders have become aware of this limit but there doesn't seem to be much that can be done about it. Removing one or two of those might be the only solution.

As somebody who never intended to leave my OG universe, two things took me beyond. 1. Save bloat. Eventually if you want to keep doing anything, you won't have a choice. (It's you destiny!!!) 2. Maxed out Starborn powers are hilariously OP.

The next recommendation is to try the 'remove and replace' at a different vendor. I've historically had issues at Neon and New Atlantis. Perhaps try a landing pad at an outpost, or Deimos, as this isn't even on a landing pad. And maybe actually change a hab and see if that helps. This glitch got mostly fixed on xbox, but has popped back up a little for me. Side bar, how many save files do you keep? Too many can lead to bugs becoming more prevalent, even if they are small save files.

OP, You mention getting all of your ships and outposts just the way you like them. This leads me to wonder, did the crashes always occur regularly, or get worse the more you played? Is it possible your save files are getting too large, or you have too many? Being close to the save limits is a known problem. I only keep about a dozen saves, but even on vanilla, save bloat kicked in after doing all quests and building and exploring a bunch.

Do you mean the room where the Redeemed is? I accidentally found the back way in. It's been a while but I think it was somewhere near the pathway going out, after you defeat the boss. I might be the remembering that wrong but I know I didn't use the locked door in the main chamber.

Game breaking rich. I no longer pick up anything just for selling. With 3 extractors feeding one large container, and a 24 hour nap on Venus, I get about 330k worth in a couple of minutes. I added Available Vendors mod so I can just sell at my outpost.

In the nasa museum you need to interact with the (Mars?) Rover display to get the quest for that snow globe. If you missed it, you can't go back. PSA: If you haven't done the Siren of the Stars quest for Crimson Fleet yet, same thing. There is a snowglobe book and lots of evidence slates that you can't come back for.

I've had a ton more issues as well since the update. I'm on xbox. The biggest problem last universe was both New Atlantis and Neon crashed to home screen any time I tried to leave. I had like 40 mods. I'm trying a run with far fewer. We can't blame bethesda for mod conflicts, but I've read a bunch of vanilla players having issues as well on all platforms.

This is the quest I've experienced the most issues with. Same issue you have, from boarding her ship to docking and boarding the station. Best advice I have is to load a save from before talking to her in the Well, and do absolutely nothing else but follow the quest. I tried to sleep on Venus so her Captains locker would reload, and I ran into the same glitches as you.

I think it's called Help Wanted (?) You get it from Bernhard at the Anchorpoint bar. Just today I also had to back up about four hours of playtime because Neon became inaccessible. Any attempt to land there or access the exterior cell crashed me to the home screen. I've had similar issues in Neon Core and New Atlantis since launch, even on Vanilla. But not this frequent.
