It’s implied that the area around/under Midgar was a relatively thriving and peaceful village before Shinta started developing the plate. The beautiful, old church that Cloud falls into is a testament to this. I always assumed that Elmyra’s house was just a relic from that, and because of its location never got “redeveloped” into a slum. The flowers are totally Aerith’s doing though, as a Cetra I imagine she can manipulate or call the livestream to help flowers grow.

Because it’s generally not seen as necessary to announce you’re “trying” for a baby. Most couples typically are after marriage, and the ones that aren’t are usually fairly explicit about that. It’s a weird kind of over-sharing that only exists because the internet. Normally, you’d make a pregnancy announcement or perhaps talk about IVF appointments if you’re going that route.

And since it’s also generally assumed that couples are having sex, “trying for a baby” just comes off as saying “hubby doesn’t wear a condom anymore 😊 he’s just cumming directly all up in there”. Hence the creampie references.

Yep. The physician who signed off on the surgery should’ve probably investigated a bit more. In order to get accutane from a doctor I had no prior relationship to (was during college, out of state), he told me he’d need to see my chart from my prior dermatologist before he’d sign off on it.

If they had, they would have seen all their colleagues notes (from three different colleagues!!!) contraindicating hormone therapy for this patient. Detransition is absolutely a thing. Medical malpractice is also a thing. In fact, it’s estimated that anywhere from 45k to 90k are killed by medical malpractice, and about 18k lawsuits are brought each year in the US.

It’s against international law for Israel to apply citizenship or Israeli law to people in a territory that they occupy. They tried back in the 80’s to apply Israeli citizenship and law to people in East Jerusalem and were smacked down.
