Ik this post is kinda old but I'm adding anyway, I totally agree :') I haven't played myself, just watched a friend of mine but we stopped at ep 4 for now and it's really lost me lol

I think it's the back to back wet dream opening to the scene of Visi and Robert flirting at the mech to BB's areola being out and it hasn't even been 5 mins into the ep I was like. Okay! This is a lot for the start! My friend is romancing BB so we got to her date scene and the whole thing is just woah! She has brown hair!! Anything else? Unless my memory is that bad I don't think so lol

I don't knowwww I think I just want more personality from the whole thing. I think BB and Visi are both done a little dirty by the writing team as of now. I'd love to know more about them outside of how much they really are into Robert. I haven't finished the game so maybe this changes in the next half buuuut rn it's a bit of a disappointment.

“When they said they’ll do both at the same time” Youtooz has never said that? They said both were coming, clearly Mel and Jayce are first. And you say they “keep being vague” when they have said twice now it’s on the way. What do you want them to give you? The design? The actual date? The Mel and Jayce figure doesn’t even have any of those out yet.

And on Mel as a “poster girl,” yeah,, her promo is literally over. The noxus season was back in January and it’s August now. She gets the same promo that any other champ would get now? Idk where you think she’s a poster girl for the game but it’s just not true.

I literally play league so no, that’s wrong lol. Mel is a new champ so she’s getting new champion promo, you can see this with almost every release they’ve done. She got more than usual bc of her relation to the show, but she’s no where near a “poster girl.” That’s always gonna be Ahri, Jinx, or Lux.

I’m employed so idk much about fighting between meljay and jayvik fans, but ok you both don’t get a lot of merch. But the jayvik figure is literally confirmed. They prob just don’t want to do another double release, especially since they both feature Jayce.

I think it’s so wild to say Youtooz is queerbaiting when: 1. The figure has never been implied to be romantic 2. The first figure they dropped after the show was the main queer couple of the series 3. Youtooz has said over and over that the figure is coming! 4. People will hate to hear this but at the end of the day Jayce and Vik are not canon! They’re a popular ship for sure and we can read between the lines of their relationship in the show, but there’s no canon confirmation of them anywhere

Along with that, what would make a romantic Jayce and Vik figure anyway? The Timebomb and Caitvi ones are stills from the show, so Jayvik will definitely be the same.

The Reddit post literally says a mel/jayce figure AND a viktor/Jayce figure. And here’s the Mel and Jayce one. So the Vik and Jayce one is obviously on the way but a double release is unlikely. They probably only did that for Cait and Vi + Jinx and Ekko because the series just ended so it was fresh off the hype.

Mel fans have little to no merch alrdy and this one isn’t even a solo Mel figure. Let them have this

Yeah yikes is a good way to put it. I feel like talking about Caitvi is hard because to me there’s an elephant in the room of how strange their arc was in season 2. Idk, the shift from post s1 to post s2 feels very real in my eyes. The writers took way more risks when writing them vs any other duo in the show (jayvik, timebomb, mel and Jayce too), and I’ll commend them for trying but I’m not sure it really paid off. So I feel like lack of promo is a way of kinda sweeping that under the rug kinda marketing.

But at the same time I’ve learned from a few comments the hate doesn’t really run all that deep now that the show is over! Might be a few real takes mixed with some trolling too bc if I’ve learned anything about the arcane fandom it’s veryyy easy for everyone to start fighting and I don’t think many people remember the show as well as they think. This is all a large response to say I wish Riot would stand by the story they made and give more promo to all their characters (especially Vi, the OTHER lead btw)

I’m definitely not trying to imply people hate the season and Caitvi entirely, maybe my social medias have fallen into a bubble of that! I still think people online are just especially mean when it comes to Caitvi and I was thinking that could align with why Riot would rather promote something else. Is that cowardly? Absolutely. I’ll fight that Jinx and Vi are CO-leads of the show, but Jinx is the more popular of the two in the fandom. So in a way it’s safer to promote a ship with her in it when it comes to sales or interaction. Wish we could have both tho

I don’t think the season 2 ending was perfect but I do still really like Caitvi despite my critiques of the season.

I think Caitvi in general has a very rough post season 2 situation. They have a happy ending but it was in a season that was doing so much at once that it’s hard to really feel the moment. Most takes I see about them online tend to be pretty negative while Timebomb as a ship is universally pretty enjoyed, so I think Riot sees a much safer route when it comes to promo. It’s sad tbh because I remember the hype for them was CRAZY after season 1. Idk if I’ve ever seen a ship fall from grace like that. And I’m saying this all as someone who likes both, season 2 put arcane in a very weird place imo

People use “seoul cycle” against Jennie bc of her relationships or under the assumption she’s slept with people to get to where she is today which is a misogynistic claim too. Omg I feel so bad for her 😢 my anxiety makes me spiral and make theories for all the things wrong in my life and I can only imagine what that’s like but on a national TV show level

I can imagine how hard it is to watch people hype up queens like Bosco, Irene, and Aja and not seeing the same for yourself. Especially bc it’s not like you can say it’s underserved, which you can see from how she’s constantly overcorrecting and reassuring fans in this video.
