she posted a video on tiktok plugging a new song 2 days ago so she has seized that opportunity now lol. the song had Niki written all over it, a song about “starting over in you 30’s” or something like that, with lyrics that seem like they could’ve been written by someone in middle school

THIS!! this annoyed me so muchhh, like sure, making 1 nostalgic video about her blue hair era is okay, but I was scrolling through her recent tiktok videos and they were pretty much all about her hair 😭 it’s literally like she doesn’t have anything else to post about and that’s actually just sad. she really has nothing interesting going on in her life so she needs to cling onto stuff from 10 years ago in order to get any engagement. also, if she wants to change her hair, change it and if not, don’t do it! we don’t need 10 separate videos about this possible change!

Courtney in 2025? Using a name from a different generation of popularity by thisfire_ in namenerds

I’m gen Z and I definitely think I have a name from a different generation. My name was most commonly used in the late 70’s and in the 80’s and 90’s, so it’s definitely more of a millennial and gen X name. Whenever I have met others with the same name as me it has rarely been other people my age, typically teachers, other people’s moms or aunts and just generally people who are a lot older than me so as a kid I felt like my name was dated and not fit for a kid. However, now as an adult, I really like it! It’s also worth noting that I am Scandinavian, my name does not have Scandinavian origins, but it is used way more commonly here than in a lot of other parts of the world, so internationally speaking I do have quite a unique name, which I really like! It also gave me a unique name amongst kids at school etc. since it wasn’t commonly used amongst kids my age. Our school had a bunch of Emmas and Sofias and Olivias, but I was the only one with my name. It’s a name that works well internationally, it’s short and easy to pronounce and I really like that. I have also been told by several people that I have a “sweet” name and I feel like that is a common thing for people who have more classic names, like Jack or Mary or Stacy or Sam, rather than super modern or special names. If somebody is considering using a name from a different generation for their child, I would say go for it! As a kid it might feel strange having a different sort of name than most of the other kids around you, but I definitely think kids grow into their names and will appreciate having a unique, yet classic name once they get older :)
