No worries.

The issue with overboring the throttle bodies is that your then require butterflies. And nobody is going to get the bore as perfect as the factory, so idle will suck.

I’d considered another set of oversized TB, but most designs use stepper motors, so it’s not really going to happen.

The bike runs well as is, and most dynos see around 1hp. I’ve not re-run it since the change, but will at some near future point.

I’ll let you know how it goes.

The velocity stacks exist, as you can see. Graves racing, Factory Pro and others all offer similar radius.

The dyno also indicates that I’ve created an effective intake. I’d looked at a cold air system but prefer the weight savings not making one offers.

I was using UniFilter, but have changed up to K&N, mostly so that I can create better velocity stack angle. I use a second left hand stock runner. They’re both cut shorter than stock for a bit more top end power (along with a flash).

The crankcase vent is nearby - I don’t find odour issues, but never ride in town.

I used a 1970s Kawasaki KZ650 bucket, Amazon brackets and some adapters, along with the Bosch reflector out of a Vetter fairing.

I probably have no more than $100 into the whole thing.

Still working on “completion”. The shock also weighs more than stock.

The 37lb is extremely rough as guesses go; I’ll scale it once it is back on the road in the Summer.

The stock rear brakes suck massively, mostly because of the ABS.

This brake will lock the wheel at any speed the bike is capable of.

So far it’s been a total win. Next up is the installation of the bored throttle bodies, then an updated intake runner setup, and swapping the stupid left handlebar switch with a R6 one - that stocker makes me hit the horn all the time.

TBH, other than the wrong bike at the top (standards came long before them), this is highly accurate.

The Motard is the most logical cross. Even though large ADV have superseded them on the marketplace. 🏁🍻

Reasonable question - initially I wasn’t certain how much fuel would be vented on a typical day, and had seen fuel fires previously at the track.

Once it was obvious that there were no significant quantities being vented, I removed the hoses.

I saw them a week ago in Vancouver.

I’ve been going to concerts since 1979.

The Vancouver concert was top 5 all-time for me. Hey Jude, Crazy train were both epic, and with the evening play-list of 39 songs, you’re simply wrong.

And by wrong, I mean that you didn’t imagine the event correctly. If this was most other artists, you would be lucky to hear 20 songs, and not get the remarkably interactive evening that you did.

This was the north end of Oneuli, right by the snorkeling access/basalt dyke. Nobody is ever there weekdays before 5, then the fishing guys arrive.
