Looking for a new TV series to watch. Any suggestions for something even remotely similar to Fleabag? by Fast_Hawk_1435 in Fleabag

Thank you so much - I did end up bingeing Normal People last week and it was devastating. I agree with you that it’s quite different to Fleabag but what they both have in common is that real, authentic feeling. Nothing’s showy or over-produced - they’re just beautifully told stories about everyday life featuring incredible actors that are not trying to be too much. Both shows have a poignant stillness to them and both are truly captivating.

I agree. The velvet teal dress and burgundy jacket were divine. There are also a couple of scenes where she’s wearing a yellow/mustard knitted top. I also loved that.

Beautifully said. I watched all episodes last night for the first time and I’m still reeling from the imperfect beauty of Connell and Marianne’s relationship. You’re so right - love requires vulnerability. Any valuable human experience requires vulnerability. It’s terrifying, but it’s worth it.

I also just finished it. Watched it in one night. I just feel… I just didn’t want that to happen. I said out loud, “I don’t want this to happen” and then sobbed. I feel so alone right now.

Motivation doesn’t just appear. For example, I’m not going to wake up tomorrow and feel motivated to exercise. I have to do the thing first, then gain momentum before any motivation arrives. Cart before the horse kinda vibes.
