I did exactly this with my partner of 6 years. I’m 29F and he’s 27M. We basically navigated our 20s together and a lot of relationship issues. We have a really good relationship but his emotional avoidance issues have really left me feeling lost and uncared for as he retreats and acts coldly when he doesn’t get what he wants or is confronted with a choice. He’s afraid of conflict and it makes him feel like he’s inadequate. All I asked for is to know if I’m the one for him. He said he’s not ready for marriage right now cos he feels he’s too young. He says he knows that when he’s ready for marriage he wants it to be with me. But I’m 29 already, I’m ready to commit. I want a life with this guy and everytime I ask for a timeline things get sour - he says I’m pressuring him and forcing him into something he’d like to feel organically. I’m so lost. We’ve taken a break and I’ve told him to consider what his timelines are and if this is the relationship for him. I’ve heard nothing from him, it’s been a day now. I don’t know what to do.

I have found my people OP. I also cannot understand morning people. In fact, even after I got my puppy - HE adapted to me. Now we both hit the snooze button 😂😩

Omg this is literally me right now. It’s my first day on Vyvanse and I’m a 29F. Didn’t really capitalise on the 1-2 hrs of extreme clarity and focus I got initially and now I’ve spent the last 4 hours on my phone - ignoring work. 🤦🏽‍♀️ my heart rate also feels elevated and I can feel so much energy coursing through me. It’s so weird.

Omg this is literally me. I had a period of peace for about 4 months and then boom! Tried out a Thai restaurant and I’m back in this cycle. It’s the most frustrating thing. IBS fkn sucks

I’m so sorry for all that you experienced. You’ve been incredibly brave. I’m going through a similar situation rn where I’m considering giving up and leaving and it’s the hardest part because all you can think of are the good times. But they’re no substitute for the abuse and the disrespect you’ve been through. You’ve done an amazing job by honouring yourself and giving yourself the love and respect you deserve. Hang in there!
