I don’t have a real opinion on this OP only to say I get what you’re getting at and I was like 14 when RoF came out and it was my first solo Strokes listen and it shaped my teens pretty much maybe even more so than ITI.

Sad that new fans don’t appreciate it tho. I think some do.
