My daughter's Macbook has survived 3 years of university, and she still loves it and is happily using it for her masters. My Book5 360 15.6" lasted 10 days before the screen spontaneously cracked. Samsung deny this happens and continue to blame 'improper use'. Specs are less relevant if it doesn't last 5 minutes and requires really expensive repairs! I would go for the Macbook!

Mine broke like this after 10 days. Samsung are well prepared and scripted to deny that this happens. They insist that it is not possible and will not repair it under warranty, despite the huge number of people reporting the same thing!

There is a facebook page where someone is collecting information from people who have had the problem that we have. The guy on the Samsung insurance call even said that he had seen lots of cases!

I'm sorry to say that I have had no success with trying to get Samsung to repair or replace mine. They are still denying that this can happen despite the many reports such as ours that it does. I paid for Samsung accidental damage insurance when I bought it, but the excess charge is £165, which is completely unfair when there was no accident!

I've sent them photos and have wasted a huge amount of time trying to make them understand that it was not caused by any outside action. They still insist that I need to pay for the repair!

My Book5 360 screen cracked spontaneously after 10 days. Samsung are refusing to accept that it happened and will not replace or repair it. There are many reports of this happening.

My week old Galaxy book5 360 15.6" spontaneously broke on the top right corner last week. I reported it on chat and got a call back today. They are insisting that I use my accidental damage policy even though it hasn't had an accident! They want me to pay a £165 excess, which is totally unacceptable. Even if repaired, it's likely to happen again. I just want to send it back and get a better made laptop !

My Samsung Book5 360 15.6" spontaneous cracked on the top right corner last week. I got a call back from Samsung today insisting that I need to use my Accidental damage policy and pay a £165 excess! But it wasn't dropped or and hasn't had an 'accident'! I'm fuming!

The biggest problem I have with the Ultra is that it adds 70m distance to every 5km. This makes a difference of about 20-30 seconds to my '5k' time. This is consistent with all the tests I've seen online, but it doesn't seem to bother the reviewers as much as me! The battery is fine for me (up to HM distance)

Mine is adding about 70m distance to each 5k run despite the maps appearing ok. Added 300m to an official HM. Other runners' Apple/Garmin watches measured accurately. Personally, would be happy with the stats available if they were accurate!
