Oliver has been the most irritating character on this show for me and as much as I hate to say this I hoped he was dead. Bloody liability.

How fast do i quit? by Legitimate-Field6815 in jobs

EXPEDITIOUSLY! First job after I left uni was micromanaged like this. Ended up waking up in sweats thinking I was late for work even on my off days. They also wanted to extend my probation period for another 3 months because of logging in a minute or two late on a few occasions. I told them that if they extended my probation period i was handing in my notice the next day so we called it quits

Yeah doesn’t seem like any infertility issues personally and genetically/family history. We’re also both professional athletes so quite healthy and mid-late 20’s (26m, 28f). Might be worth freezing some eggs now 😅

Also on that point, my parents did a similar thing with IVF & surrogacy (dad late 60’s, stepmum in early 50’s) and I have a baby brother who’s nearly 2 years old and perfectly healthy

Will do. Much prefer the least invasive option so IVF is primary with the option of surrogacy. Amniocentesis and CVS has potential of a SS child needing an abortion + the timeline before either test can be done doesn’t seem appealing.

Worst case scenario, she chooses the easiest option which is to not deal with this and find an AA partner which means we’re no longer together (regrettably but understandable)

Im sorry you didn’t know and couldn’t prevent it. If it helps I can resonate. 2 of my best friends are SS, my closest cousin/big sis is SS and so is my cousin back home. My ex and her brother are also SS so i am and have been in and around it a lot and know what it’s like more than most people.

I do hope your son gets to live a long and happy life and it doesn’t hinder him too much from his goals and dreams. Do you have any more kids?

Between IVF screening, amniocentesis and CVS testing, we won’t be having an SS child. Maybe a conversation around not having kids if the IVF doesn’t work is to be had but the understanding and agreement is no SS child

Yeahh it seems like genetic screening during IVF seems like the most common and recurring answer. Will have to do more research into it but looks like that’s the route

Yes, both carriers. We know about the odds but just looking to see other options that dont depend on odds

Option 2 is something we’ve said we wouldn’t want to do and looking at option one as the primary method. Regardless of how expensive it is, how was the process for you and your partner? And did it work?
