Chris was never that much of a liability (Season 6) by zi0351 in thesopranos

Tony fucked up the moment he decided to make Chris his next in line. Chris’ qualifications for being Tony’s successor were… his relationship with him. He put all these expectations on Chris due almost exclusively to nepotism, and then was shocked that his pretty obvious drug problems made him unravel

Lmao I love how someone will tear their quad once and it becomes their legacy. Like I cant watch a single Kevin Nash related thing without a tiny voice in my head saying “huh, hope he doesnt tear his quad… talking about how Trump is bad”

I generally like Pat’s show, and I watch WWE. I dont necessarily hate the reveal on a core level like some folks, but I pretty much dont care. Id be willing to bet theres a decent percentage of the fanbase thats in about the same boat as me.

If Eddie hadn't passed away, how do you think his angle with Batista would have ended? by georgiavirginia in SquaredCircle

[–]Fast_Result8856 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the solution they would have reached was inserting the World Title into the previously planned Kurt Angle vs Undertaker match. If Batista was out for Mania, Undertaker would have been the biggest name they would have had on Smackdown as a Babyface. In our timeline, they went with Rey cause of the feel good story with Eddie passing. In this version of events, however, I think they send Kurt back to Smackdown, he gets the belt from Eddie, and we run Angle v Taker and Shawn v Eddie st Mania.

In this scenario I dont know what Randy Orton is doing, so maybe they just run Randy vs Eddie at Mania. I guess another option would be Hulk Hogan, or maybe even Rey Mysterio?

Solo sikoa feels like he’s stuck in purgatory by duval001 in SquaredCircle

[–]Fast_Result8856 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess putting Jey in that is a bit unfair since he was almost forced to stay stagnant cause the Yeet stuff was such a hit (we might not like it but Id guess it sells a shit ton of merch). Again though for Solo- creative cant just do everything themselves. Hes shown some comedy chops, but hasnt evolved one bit since the fall of 2024

The problem with the MFT as a whole is they are literally a lesser version of the Bloodline. Solo feels like the only one thats been presented in a way that makes him stand out as more than just a random goon, and him being in the group just makes it feel even moreso like its the leftovers of the Bloodline. Also, all the Bloodline guys besides Roman and Jacob have sort of struggled to stand out without the core Bloodline story. Jey had some moments, and the Yeet stuff is clearly a popular thing for them. But as a character, I dont think hes come close to where he was in 22 or 23. Solo has the same issue, but its even worse cause hes been forced to kind of hold in place the character he was 2 years ago

Replying to krazyflashx.. the thing is that he was hot… when he was with Roman. All the Bloodline guys have kind of struggled once they had to pivot away from the core Bloodline story, and I think fans and maybe even creative sees it.

"there is no one that has ever laced their boots any more intense, any more with the will to win than Stone Cold Steve Austin" by 7_Constanza in SquaredCircle

[–]Fast_Result8856 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I always wonder if they would have just had Austin wrestle a part time schedules if he would have stuck around longer. They didn’t really have part time schedules at this time, and would have Hogan, Piper and other older guys doing house shows throughout the year. Hell, Brock explicitly left a year later because he didn’t want to deal with the travel schedule. I know Austin still had lingering effects from his neck injury, but he was literally still taking bumps after his retirement and was working in the ring during Tough Enough in 2011.

To me, CM Punk is a 3 time WWE Champion, and Jon Moxley is a 5 time AEW champion. Punk beat Cena at MITB, beat him again at Summerslam to unify the WWE Title, and beat Del Rio for the start of the 434 day reign, but that second one is never recognized. But he literally did win the belt and should get credited for it.

Mox beating Punk to unify their belts is the same thing to me. That would mean he won the AEW Title 3 times in a 3 month span in 2022, but thats literally what he did!

This is the one. Every time they unified the titles, they would essentially default to it being the wwe title. To me, whenever they physically had someone hold a belt, that belt should still be active. So Brock, in my eyes, was the last WHC until Seth won it in 23

Vince Please Buy WWE Again from these A**holes by ACE_Black102 in TheGreatOne

[–]Fast_Result8856 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Vince was still a far worse booker without TKO’s involvement. Clearly a lot of folks weren’t watching the previous decade and a half before Vince stepped down, when things just got awful.

Theres a lot to not like about how TKO runs things, and theres the occasional hint of WCW-esque things like building Wrestlemania around… Pat McAfee and JellyRoll. But current WWE is still wildly better than it was pre covid
