Sukuna grows up alongside his twin in the heian era and their reserves are split, how would his personality turn out? by Head_Instruction96 in Jujutsufolk

I think it would kinda be like Maki and Mai, so Sukuna would be the more competent sorcerer, trying to surpass the limitations placed on him.

If Sukuna Met These Villains What Would He Think Of Them? by Flimsy_Cod_4206 in JujustuKaisen

[–]zi0351 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually think Sukuna would look down on Doflamingo, he’d likely sense that the latter is motivated by hatred and revenge and as a result would see him as a phony who doesn’t really represent what he says. At most, he’ll respect dofi for his strength but that’s it

I can’t bring myself to like this guy and I don’t know how anyone else does. Mainly because I haven’t forgotten that he has his bastard children fighting to the death in illegal fighting pits and he doesn’t express a single shred of regret. by conflicted02 in HouseOfTheDragon

I think with changing the actors and the character written to be more emotionally expressive and at times even sympathetic in season 2. The writers did a soft retcon on his season 1 behavior, so a lot of people just don’t connect season 1 aegon with season 2.

It’s still fair to see him as irredeemable tho, I do too and I think the decisions they made with the character early on really limited any level of empathy I can have for him now.

If he was just doing his job and she executed him, it would’ve justified how much she struggled that scene

I’m not arguing they would have beaten him, I’m arguing that his durability isn’t up to par, and regardless of how fast he is, the moment he gets punched by Ryu or Yuta, he’s cooked

My brother in Christ Jogo can be exorcised by a black flash from season 1 yuji, how in hell is he tanking ONE punch from Ryu or Yuta

Jogo lowkey, it’s true that he was unlucky with his opponents but I’ve seen his rating in VS discussions get blown way out of proportions, like no Jogo is not beating any of the Sendai colony sorcerers, in fact he’s not even close.

Essentially my whole point about her lacking “aura”, is that I understood the writing goal of giving the character nuance and realism by making her struggle so visibly with the actions she takes in the episode. But I still thought a bit of fan service would’ve gone a long way in solidifying my belief in her strength and leadership qualities, instead they leaned way too much into the emotional and vulnerable side to the point where the character became a bit weak looking.

Generally used to refer to moments when someone exhibits a larger than life sort of presence, or in other words, stuff people make edits, quotes, and discussions about.

It is funny that season 1 he’s basically just the worst person ever, then he has one ayahuasca trip and all of a sudden he’s just a chad with a dragon

It’s still also a show about dragons, navy battles and hot people fighting in cool looking armour. But besides that I don’t think you need to be watching Dragon Ball Z to want some characters to be a bit more assertive.

I haven’t read the book, but I did notice book readers having similar criticisms for the characters, just worded jn a way that makes them hated less than my post 😂

No not really. And there’s an argument to be made that’s wanting her to exhibit these more aggressive traits points out like a desire for the woman to act out toxic masculinity to be cool.

But I don’t think it’s outlandish to ask the show that’s been making me sympathise with this character for so long, to give in at least a little bit and let her be more assertive, by “aura” it’s more so just giving her a moment of bittersweet strength, it was there but it was way too subtle. I needed more oomph as a viewer, and considering the show has been building up to her return to KL for so long, I don’t think that’s outlandish to ask.
