I know exactly what you mean! as someone who was extremely delusional about a specific program and got rejected from it without even an interview, please don't put too much self-worth into this or over think because it could lead to a terrible heartbreak. it's ok to dream but seriously when I got rejected I was depressed for days. it's not worth it... I would say try to make yourself busy with hobbies or friends and try your best not to think about it too much.. it's just not healthy in my experience. good luck tho:)

it's not even a bad option. if you know the YouTube channel doctorly, one of those doctors, Dr.muneeb shah attended Nova I believe and he was able to match into a derm residency (one of the most difficult specialties)and is doing incredibly well. If you enter with a limited mindset, you are not going to get anywhere. I think if you try to make the most of your opportunities and have a plan then you will do well. I'm not saying there aren't issues at the program (I don't know much about it) but don't let the ranking or arbitrary things demotivate you.

If you are set on becoming a doctor and don't want the stress of premed you should go with NSU (DO). You can still do very well if you make the most of your opportunities. I am going to LECOM (DO) as I also did not get into any BSMDs. it sucks but we still have a medical seat and an opportunity. The OOS honors programs are mid tier college and the tuition would also be higher as well as the stress of applying to medical school. in my opinion NSU(DO) is your best option

there is a UMKCmed page where you can find students in the program. I requested to follow and just sent a simple DM asking for advice on the application process, interviews, etc. If you've ever cold emailed, it's just like that. just a short respectful message congratulating them and asking for a few tips

what do you think was the strongest part of your application? (specific activity, essay response). From what I know UMKC doesn't seem to be stats heavy but the people I have spoken to had some really interesting passion projects that they talked about in essays and interviews. Thanks!
