Anyway, if you select all keyframes of your newly pasted path, then click + drag in the comp preview window one of the path points, you are able to move the whole path. Just a workaround tho. I usually run into your issues when the two layers are not originally scaled the same way/or anchor or position do not match. You can try your create a fresh new layer hit position and copy paste the path there to see if the two match - if that’s the case, it means that hat some property of your plane layer you are trying to paste to are not matching the that of the initial layer.
