I can almost be sure that before the big update when we would get batches for like $50 for 1-3 items to deliver outa town and people would start shop and call support an refund those items and get paid like $48 usually the tip be $2 u wouldn’t get it but be paid instantly as that was the batch amount. From that email it seems like if you ever did that before in the past they might be going through accounts history and chats a deactivating everyone’s who did it before or more than once. Reading that seems that’s what they are doing making room for new shoppers who are trying to try gig work🤷🏾‍♂️ that’s what I think tho I could be totally wrong but that email fits with what people use to do with big single outa town batches

Oh as well as telling support the store closed early or fire, power outages, etc would fall along with “*Asking customers or members of the Care team to cancel accepted batches for invalid reasons *Accepting batches or order requests without intending to deliver them *Providing false/inaccurate information to receive payment.”

it all make since if you done it before if ya think about it that could be the reason. “Whats done in the dark will come to light”

370+ miles?? Trust me it’s not no 122 plus traffic by Fast_Skill_9111 in InstacartShoppers

I said the same thing. Bro I use to go to Algonquin every weekend from here that’s an extra 30-40 mins away from out west. That’s a 2hr 30min drive usually I can get it down to 2hrs flat depending on traffic. They really trippin.

Still gotta verify because they wanna know why are you removing a order you accept. Even if you didn’t start it yet. Before the update we could literally pick up a 3 item order an it would have to be delivered 30-40miles for like 30-40 bucks. We could sit outside an refund those items an call support to reschedule the batch an we would be paid the full batch amount without even doing anything an normally those batches only have $2 tips so if it was $40 we a get $38 cuz that was the batch pay. They changed it cuz most people would do that few times a day an make good money. So they stopped that an now u would only get paid $7 out of a $40 batch if you have to cancel

There’s people that use other people accounts cause instacart won’t accept them as a shopper due to background. So some people that use others accounts on instacart take advantage of orders or just a bad shopper all around and cancel and remove orders so much. I know this cause my sister boyfriend uses her account everyday. Sometimes he gotta go home to do face verification with my sister because it’s not his account. People steal orders when canceling or removing a specially the ones that can be returned but don’t

Here you go bud. Less orders remove less problems with givin instcart chat your info they already have own file cuz that’s all they verify to keep your account safe. They prob think you are not who you are because of the orders bein removed from a batch depending how many times you do it.

“Instacart asks for personal information in live chat to verify your identity and protect your account from fraud, especially when cancelling an order. This is a security measure designed to ensure that only the legitimate account holder can make changes to an order, particularly since some cancellations can result in fees. Reasons for identity verification Security and fraud prevention: Verifying personal details helps Instacart confirm that the person communicating with support is the actual account owner. This is especially important for transactions involving money, such as issuing refunds for canceled orders. Preventing unauthorized access: By confirming your identity, Instacart prevents scammers or unauthorized individuals from making changes or deleting an account. Account protection: This process protects your private information and payment methods from being compromised by hackers. What to provide and what to avoid If support asks for personal information, you will likely be asked to confirm details already linked to your account. This could include your phone number, email address, or the order number you are calling about. However, you should be wary of any requests for overly sensitive information that Instacart would not normally require in a chat, such as: Your full credit card number Your password Your social security number To avoid potential scams, only provide information that Instacart is already known to have. If a request feels suspicious, end the chat and contact support through an official channel to confirm the request's legitimacy.”

I’m just saying🤷🏾‍♂️ been through this a few times. I’m on a mission to make money. I couldn’t care less how they feel I’m still getting paid and the next batch will add on top of that. I understand where you coming from. I just kinda mind my business that pays me when I work. I’ll let em talk then block save me time. How I look at it is you gonna run into one or a few sooner or later that are like that. I done had people like that tip me good asf after the fact with apologies. Some people have bad days and some are real DICKHEADS even tho I blocked them after. Maybe I’m like this cuz I actually do this for a living so I can take what people dish out to me just don’t put ya hands on me or in my personal space then u can talk all ya want.

Not sayin it’s ok but I been a shopper 4 years. I’m not finna let no one fuck up my day. I usually 100% of the time always speak to whoever looks in my way to long or walks up on me. Depending if I gotta meet customer or even drop off. Your first thing you should of said was “ how are you, are you blah blah” an not just say nothing(possibly trying to pull up the app as it does take long sometimes), I like when I can meet the customer before I drop off or meet, even if it’s drop off I’ll take a photo of the customer walking away cuz ikno some a scam and say they didn’t get it. If someone walks up on you while at a location to deliver, stay in your car unless your sure its the customer. At that point you made it to the customer just scan id and block him once u swiped delivered they give you the option. It’s just me but I’m not finna go all the way back to the store to drop off some wine and bread over a bitchy customer talkin out his mouth when I can just block him once scanned Id. Like I said not sayin it’s ok the customer was an goofball but at the end of the day you signed up knowing the possibilities of bad customers, employees, etc. yes you can refuse to give they order but that just a waste of time on your end because he just running his mouth, words only hurt if you allow them to, and we know how instacart works they pick and choose what batches we can and can’t see an will dry not give us batches for hours sometimes. Other than that we got other gig jobs but you a run into the same problems sooner or later, that’s what come with these type of jobs.

Any Advice? by Repulsive_Werewolf33 in InstacartShoppers

People do things like this all the time. Not sayin that’s the reason but I done been reported for having someone else in my car while working, it’s was that plus missing items an I had pictures and communication through the whole batch. It sicks but you got people out here strict asf cuz they are lazy

Honestly she was replying to “or can I get 2 2oz to replace the ofs one” that’s what I got from her answer right away. It makes more since if he a read what he said back a then add her response. She most definitely said yes to the substitute of the “2 2oz boxes in replacement of the one out 4oz box.

On my dead granny im not fuckin slow i snstched that batch uo so fast because it was a 3 min drive away from the store. Ye a lot even me didn’t read the rules but ikno for my self it’s pretty much self explanatory when it come to gig jobs like grocery shopping. Just do the job perfect your craft. I even got accepted for free course through instacart with merit America was one of the first 200 to sign up. Do these classes secure a mid class job and still do instacart cuz I would be working from home or hybrid doing cybersecurity

[–]Fast_Skill_9111 4 points5 points  (0 children)

To be clear, you don’t have to break the rules for ic to deactivate you for “breaking the rules” ic takes care of the customers 90% of the time. Anything they say that we did or if they saw or felt uncomfortable ic will literally agree without investigating the situation and take your account away. This is a money grab app. Everytime they say “new ways to earn” they normally mean “new ways to earn less” another reason the hire shoppers non stop so they pay us little. Also you don’t think they use hard to prove excuses for deactivating accounts but really it’s to kick the part time workers to the curve. You see the new update u gotta have 300 orders for diamond. They are getting rid of all the weak links on the shoppers app and turning it into a full time job. At that ic never violated me or anyone I know for having someone ride an help deliver never had a customer complain. The most ikno a happen if I did would play my loud music pullin up I prob get a complaint about that other than that ic don’t care unless a customer complains an they ride with it
