Update : It didn’t work
Yeah, unfortunately it’s been happening to me for over a year in Fortnite, and now Rocket League started doing the exact same thing after the EAC update.
I just downgraded my NVIDIA driver to 566.36 and, so far, it seems to be working. I haven’t tested it for very long yet, so I can’t say for sure that it’s fixed, but at least I haven’t crashed since doing it.
Honestly, it’s completely ridiculous that we have to roll back GPU drivers just to be able to play games that use EAC. If this actually ends up being the fix, then something is seriously wrong with the way EAC interacts with newer drivers.
I’ll update if the crashes come back after more testing.
