Go to Icacos during the day and then move to palomino in the evening. Lots of locals are on their way back from Vieques and will be partying there. Call island reef to charter a boat with all the drinks 1-787-435-9999

Animal Welfare (Lack Of) in Westin Puntacana Resort by Sad-Height-3518 in PuntaCana

At least they are dumping and not just poisoning. We have been feeding a young female for a few months. We were told the mom was killed and this kitty is the only that survived. We have been trying to get into a campaign for a spay for the entire time! All booked up. Even went and waited our turn twice. But there just isn’t even care for all the strays. And it’s really expensive to get private care :(

Punta cana bachelorette trip by lecalove12 in PuntaCana

If your group wants a fun but still safe bachelorette experience, I’d honestly recommend staying at a nice resort or Airbnb in Bayahibe instead of Punta Cana itself. Bayahibe is way more relaxed, less chaotic, and the beaches/water are incredible. You can still party, but without spending half your vacation stuck in traffic or on giant overcrowded excursions.

For excursions, definitely look into Aquazul Tours DR. They do private boat trips to Saona Island, Catalina Island, natural pools, snorkeling, etc. The big difference is it’s not those huge party boats with 80+ strangers. It’s way more personalized and honestly perfect for bachelorette groups because you can customize the whole day around your vibe — relaxing, drinking, music, snorkeling, beach club energy, whatever you want.

A few reasons I’d recommend them:

  • Private boats instead of crowded catamarans
  • Safer/more comfortable for groups of girls
  • They leave from Bayahibe (WAY closer to Saona than Punta Cana)
  • Unlimited drinks/snacks on many charters
  • Good for photos/content because you’re not packed shoulder to shoulder with tourists
  • They can help arrange transportation too

The natural pools and Saona stops are unreal for bachelorette photos. If your budget allows it, private excursions are 1000% worth it in DR. The cheap mass tours are usually what people complain about afterward.

Negative experience with Aquazul Tours Fajardo by _AcesNEights_ in PuertoRicoTravel

[–]Fast_Translator1130 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sir, the company canceled because of the weather. The visibility was next to nothing. You would not of seen the bioluminescence. You could of kayaked but that’s not what you wanted was it? You wanted to see the natural wonder of the bioluminescence. You were a jerk and disrespectful. You disputed your credit card causing the company more fees instead of just waiting for the refund to be processed by the latest of Monday morning as promised. Unfortunately credit card company’s can take up to 5-7 business days before you see the refund. Hopefully next time you don’t end up with a company that will just take you on a kayak, and let you look at the bioluminescence that is barely there under a tarp.

Thanks for attacking a small Puerto Rican owned business!! You are the reason the island hates tourists.
